Most Helpful Positive Review Simply the best! I just have to say, I've been using Barrier Repair for about 8-10 years. And there is nothing like it on the market. And believe me, I've tried it all!
My problem is my skin is very very sensitive and prone to redness and also dry AND oily, basically sensitive combination skin!
So finding a great moisturizer is very hard for me because a moisturizer that is moisturizing leaves my skin feeling oily and shiny, but if I try moisturizers for oily and shiny skin they make my skin feeling dry and tight! Or they just irritate my skin!
Except for this product! It is simply amazing!
Its sooths my skin, reduces my redness, makes is matte without drying and softens my skin! I use the word softens because it doesn't really moisturizer as such, which I would say is it's only minus. But its such a tiny tiny minus in comparison to the plus sides! And also you can use other fabulous Dermalogica products under it to give your skin that extra moisture if you need it, such as the Ultracalming Serum Concentrate, also absolutely great!
The new formula is even better then the older one, and the old one was already a 10/10!
Most Helpful Critical Review Bring back the original! The original formula was my favourite cosmetic of all time - 5 stars & recommend to everyone! This one however, is disappointing. It's ok, but it no longer has that luxurious feeling or acts as the fabulous base for moisturiser & foundation.
Having used the old formula for years, sadly I won't be buying it any more - really disappointed as it was my favourite product of all time..!

So, a couple months ago when using retinol, I went and got my eyebrows waxed and upper lip waxed .. big mistake. My skin lifted and left me with a burn! I anxiously went to ulta hoping I'd find something that would help me. I found this. I started using this at first on certain areas that my skin was injured and it helped the pain and healing process so much. Now I use it every morning and night in my skincare routine. I cleanse with an oil cleanser, then a regular cleanser, and on damp skin I add nuetrogena hydro boost fragrance free gel cream, then I add cetaphils new "healthy glow" day cream, I then top it with this product (and it feels like aquaphor which I loveeeee!). Then I follow it with zinc sunscreen. It has literally changed my life. From using harsh skincare products to suffering from dry skin, this has helped me with so many of my skincare issues. A staple. Please never stop carrying this

This unique product works great after chemical peels and fraxel laser. I have rosácea and nothing else works as well to soothe and protect my skin. The texture feels like a lighter, soothing version of Vaseline.

I love, love, LOVE Barrier Repair. It soothes my extra sensitive/cystic acne skin. I also have seasonal allergies that cause skin irritation. Any of these problems feel/look better when I use barrier repair. It also works very well as a primer (I use both BB creams and/or loose powder depending on the day). Absorbs well and makes my skin feel like butter. I can't say enough good things about it. It's gel-like, not a heavy cream, so not meant to be a thick moisturizer. It's expensive, but a little goes a long way. Doesn't need to be applied in a thick layer.

My poor skin got some kind of chemical burn from some makeup removal wipes and nothing could penetrate the dry scaly patches. Barrier repair did just that. It worked like a healing salve. I was so grateful. I use it daily along with the ultracalming serum concentrate to keep my skin hydrated, dewy and smooth. I never thought I'd commit to the routine: cleansing, toner, serum and moisturizers but after that trauma I know now what the difference is between pampered well nourished skin and neglect. It's worth the effort and I feel good knowing I'm taking care of my skin. I perform and I'm doing a lot of tight shots of my face. All the make I wear was sitting on top of that dry scaly damage and looked terrible! Not anymore. These products have changed my life!

I used to use this product about 2 years ago and the consistency of the product I received seems to be a little more watery than I remember it to be. Packaging of the product was totally smashed and there isn't a seal on the product itself which is a little concerning otherwise I would have given this 5 stars

I bought this to try since the moisturizing repair cream i had used for years was no longer available. Nia24 went out of business. This is ok but not in any way comparable to Nia24.

I love this product and use over daily moisturizer. It feels super soft, is easy to apply and you use very little. My skin looks healthy and hydrated while soft as well

I bought this product because of a recommendation from a friend. I was having issues with redness and breakouts due to wearing a mask all day while working during COVID 19. It's amazing. It protects my skin. It's light and doesn't feel greasy on my skin. No more redness. No more breakouts. No more blackheads

I am completely sold on this product! I have rosacea and very pink, reactive skin. I did not think I would like this at first, but boy did it deliver results. My skin is SO much better, and I no longer have to wear foundation to cover redness.

I originally purchased this to use as an all-over moisturizer, but found it to be too rich for my skin. I have since found that it is incredibly useful to apply to healing blemishes. I have OCD and it manifests in skin-picking; this product provides a lot of comfort to spots that I have worsened and it seems to aid the healing process while preventing itching (that would otherwise cause me to pick more). I love it.

I started getting small patches of eczema under my eyes and on my eye lid this year. This is the only thing that helped! It immediately soothes it and after constant use it's pretty much gone. I know this is isn't intended as an eye cream, but that's exactly what I use it for at night (will go back to my other eye cream in the summer). It does not burn my eyes, even when applying to my eye lid. My fiancé started getting something similar around his eyes and it has helped him as well. I will use it as an all over moisturizer on days I'm not wearing makeup (under sunscreen), but I don't love the feel of it under foundation. It's not terrible, I just have other products that work better as makeup prep. If this came in a large tube for the entire body, I would purchase it. While the eczema on my face is new, it plagues me in the winter on the rest of my body every year and there isn't much that helps. If you have eczema or sensitive skin, I highly recommend this!

Recommended to me by a Dermalogica representative when I told her what has been happening with my skin. I was getting rosacea like symptoms. I use this twice a day before my moisturizer and the redness is gone. It is pricey but I only need about a pea sized application each time I use it, so hopefully it will last a while.

I had a series of IPL laser treatments to relieve facial redness (telangiectasia) My dermatologist suggested using Aquaphor - I chose to use Barrier Repair instead bc it is non greasy goes on smoothly & provides extra nutrients to help calm and relieve skin.

I bought the Kate Somerville eye cream that was part of the September 21 days of beauty and it burned my eyelids. My skin was peeling and nothing was working to heal them. Not even my expensive La Mer cream. I went to ulta and the girl told me to try this product and it worked wonders. My eyelids quit peeling and itching. They were so dry that they itched like crazy before. This little tube packs a punch! Dermalogica is now my skincare line. I love everything I've tried and my skin looks better after just a month.
