Comments about Dermalogica UltraCalming Barrier Repair:

I received a sample of this after an ULTA facial and it honestly feels like I'm smearing vaseline on myself. It's certainly much more lightweight and it did help even out my skin tone from redness, but an hour later, it is still sitting well on top of my skin and is leaving a film on my fingers if I so much as brush my neck. I probably would not buy a full size version of this.

Comments about Dermalogica UltraCalming Barrier Repair:

I have never had problems with my skin. In the last 6 months my skin has been red, itchy and burning. My doctor told me I have a mild case of rosacea. I was given a prescription gel that did not work. I talked to the sales girl at Ulta and she recommended the UltaCalming Barrier Repair. This gel is amazing. It is not drying, it moisturizes my skin and is very soothing. I use it at night and in the morning under my makeup. It works better than my expensive prescription.

I have a couple of sun damage spots on my face that can become red and the skin gets dry. This keeps the skin from drying out and peeling as long as I use it twice a day. It lasts a long time, since I only use it on the problem areas.

Comments about Dermalogica UltraCalming Barrier Repair:

This stuff saved my skin. I had terrible cystic acne for a good year, but with a few tweaks in my regimen and adding this as my last step morning and night I do not have near as many acne issues. I still get a few pimples but usually just small whiteheads now. I have bought at least 7 tubes of this stuff and will always continue to purchase.

                      • Q:

i just purchased the barrier defense booster and water calm gel and was advised by the dermalogica therapist to apply barrier repair first, then only followed by booster mixed into water calm gel. But i read in Ulta that it was advised the other way round. So im confused now which is the correct way. If barrier repair is to applied at the last step..can i apply sunscreen over it then followed by gel foundation?

When i explained to the therapist that barrier repair is made of various silicons as a barrier, booster/face cream will not be able to penetrate into the skin if it's applied first after the toner. Pls advise.

I was recommended by the customer service but my purpose for this is to heal after AHA included home skin treatment by Olehenriksen that gave me a really bad chemical burn on my left side around mouth and chin area that got really sand paper like texture, wrinkly and rush bumps etc..now I found a organic pure anti inflamation serum and balm and Ren evercalm nask that started healing much better but I need more to actually really heal .Do you think this is safe and effective to recover from it to use? I already saw a doc, skin specialist and they of course gave me the suggestions of medications that completely made it worse like no joke. I need non toxic, super super gentle,organic/pure and things that really heal it with no reactions. Please, someone help me..

Thank you for your interest in Dermalogica. We do not recommend a particular type of foundation to use with the Barrier Repair. We suggest that you test out the foundation before purchasing to see if it is compatible with the Barrier Repair. We suggest that you let the Barrier Repair absorb on the face before applying the foundation.

A series of Power Resurfacing Peels will help to even your skin tone and texture. Overnight Retinol Repair can be used at home to maximize your results.

Can you use this on your eye lids and then apply shadow? I developed an allergy to ingredients in shadows, even ones with very limited all natural ingredients. Thank you.

                          A:

Thank you for your question. Barrier Repair is silicone based so I would just be mindful when applying it to the eye area as you don't want the silicone to get into your eye. I hope you find this helpful and if you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask.
