Most Helpful Positive Review A years-long search is over at last
As an extremely fair ( think Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in 1.5 Birch, and Fair in IT Cosmetics ) copper brownette with definite yellow ivory undertones and certain sensitivities, finding foundation shades has always been a challenge. Fortunately my skin has been mainly trouble-free for most of my life, so coverage has never been a large issue until about five years ago. When I turned 60, the latent Rosacea inherited from my Celtic ancestors exploded like an invasion of berserkers, mapping my face with blood vessels and blotches. A thoughtless acquaintance once snarked that she knew when I was overheated, because it was "so much fun to watch you turn purple"! It would be less painful if I did not have to venture into public, but my husband and I teach on a volunteer basis, and he is also an artist, and we do the festival curcuit to sell his wares. It is important to be able to interact with--not distract--those we meet. Finding some sort of coverage for my issues has been frustrating to say the least--most products flake, pill, or patch, or are heavy and age-enhancing. Also, a severe allergic reaction to an unknown substance that lasted six months left me scarred and peeling. Talk about ready to capitulate! I don't know why I decided to try one last product, but I resigned myself to expecting no results and chose this First Aid Tinted Moisturizer. If anything, at least it has sunscreen, and I thought it wouldn't hurt me. Well, the first time I applied it ( over bare skin ) I nearly wept--for joy! It went on smoothly ( you need to blend fairly quickly, but the product will permit a bit of building if you wish ), left me with a lovely, believable, non-glittery glow, and covered about 75% of my problems! I touched up one of the worst red zones with a bit more building, and finally achieved about an 85% result. My skin felt moist all day, and three months of use has produced no reactions. I'm no longer ashamed to go out! Thank you, F.A.B.!
Most Helpful Critical Review Nice Addition to Makeup Routine
As someone with sensitive, acne and rosacea prone skin, it's awesome to find a tinted moisturizer to finally add to my skin routine. I love that this doesn't break me out and has some sun protection!
The downside on this one is that it's pretty thick and chunky. I actually find it helpful to mix the product in with a little liquid foundation. That helps the product spread more easily for a fuller, more even coverage. It also helps avoid the final result looking too shiny. I like a more matte look that this provides, so a little extra pump of matte foundation really helps balance things out. My only other negative is that the shade range for this product makes me super sad! Twelve shades and nine of them are for light skinned folks. Step up your diversity game, FAB!

It's a great, light substitute when you don't feel like putting on a full face of makeup. And 30spf!
Perfect for Summer
Kellie from NJ
My absolute favorite summer foundation. The tan is so perfect!
Made my eyes burn!!!
Makeupjunkie from TN
I really wanted to love this. But it's a no all around. It looks greasy. And it slides right off my face. I have tried it several times using different methods applying it. And nothing worked. Every time I try it my eyes burn so bad. Obviously I don't put it in my eyes, but for whatever reason out of all the make up I've tried. This one is by far the worst!!

I bought this for a more natural day of no foundation and a glowy natural look. I noticed it was a little oily but it minimized my pores and made my skin look more natural. At the end of the end when I cleaned my face I had breakouts and clogged pores. The next day I really saw how much it had clogged my skin. My breakouts around my chin and jaw line got bad. It was extremely oily and felt greasy and heavy. Definitely not keeping.
Great for Summer
Rachel from Maryland
Very nice tinted moisturizer for summer with bonus SPF. Perfect coverage - evens out skin tone without looking or feeling heavy. I add concealer for anything that needs more than light coverage. Makes my skin feel smooth and soft with a nice glow. I find it lasts longer when set with powder or spray. I had purchased this product a few years ago and was glad to see that they have a better color range now - in I'm very fair and the previous shade "fair" wasn't quite right - "ivory" is much better. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for a lightweight makeup this summer!

About a year ago, I purchased this product after it was recommended to me by a store employee. I was looking for something natural and light for those 'less-than-perfect' skin days that I just couldn't get away with not wearing makeup to work. Within two hours of wearing this product, it was literally sliding off my face. I've applied this product with primer, without primer, with moisturizer, without moisturizer before, applied setting powders like 100 different ways, and it is just always a slippery mess on my face. Six months ago, my face was on the oilier side, so I just attributed it to that; however, my skin has made a complete 180 and is now extremely dry (thank you retinoids), so I decided I would give this another shot... NOPE! The coverage is decent, but if you don't want to reapply makeup constantly, you may want to look elsewhere...
Oxidizes SO much
Stellababella from Illinois
Oxidizes to about 2 shades darker and feels SO oily! The undertone of this product looks so unnatural!
The sunscreen performance for this product is lacking
Anonymous from Missouri
I recommend you use a SPF underneath this product

I use this in the morning and wear alone or underneath my makeup. Provides nice even coverage and protects my skin.

So I'm almost out of my bottle and there's definitely some pros and cons. My biggest complaint is the blending. I've tried with & without primer and I've used different powders over it. It is ALWAYS patchy around my forehead and lip area. I can't figure it out.
Light, non-greasy with a hint of color!
Fitmama1 from Fort Wayne, IN
This is my summer go-to! It gives me a light, non-greasy sun screen with just a hint of color to even out my skin tone. It smells great too. Works well even for exercising.
Natural looking, hydrating
P.S. from PA
Love this tinted moisturizer that leaves skin still feeling hydrated late into the evening. Does settle into fine lines. Does not irritate my sensitive skin. Comes in many skin matching colors, including skin undertones.
I like it

I like it. I tried with the Laura Mercier powder and it lasted a long time. highly recommend. I am in my teens I needed something light that has spf for summer.
Goes on matte, gets oily fast
Nova mom from TX
I love this company's products so I was excited to try their tinted moisturizer. Unfortunately, by noon time, my face was a shiny oily mess. I'd love to see then make a tinted moisturizer in a gel format.
Emily from Oregon
I wanted to like this because it has so many great reviews but it made my face sooo oily and greasy. I had to put setting powder on over it but it was still incredibly greasy. I did like the coverage the tint provided but that's about it.
Cakey & ridiculously oily
Ariel from State College, Pa
first I just wanna say I did everything I could to like this product. I used it with/ without primer, with/without powder, etc. no matter what I did it always looked way too cakey without even providing much coverage. I've had it for awhile now and now that I'm almost to the end all I get is straight oil out of it with barely and product, it's disgusting. please don't waste your money on this. * for reference I have combination skin and it doesn't look good on any part of it
Fell in love with this
Angel1019 from IL
This Tinted Moisturizer is literally everything I could ask for. I have combo skin, sometimes its more dry, sometimes a little more oily. I'm 20 years old and my main skin concerns are my blemishes, I need SPF, and I do breakout sometimes. I love this Tinted Moisturizer because it's lightweight, blurs out my imperfections, actually feels hydrating, and isn't full coverage (which I prefer). This is honestly is such a good base. I use the Too Faced Hangover Primer, I put this on, I put a little concealer (I use Mac), bronzer(I use Hoola Caramel), blush(I use MILK Makeup Cheek Stick), Setting Spray (I use a couple different ones) and my face just looks amazing. I wanna buy like a hundred of these.
Although, the worst thing about this Tinted Moisturizer would probably be the shade range. Medium is a great color for me, but I'm sure everyone else has trouble finding their best shade and best undertone.
Always use this
Laur from Long branch,nj
I use this when I run or workout. I always loved having a tinted moisturizer on, so if I go out I still look human enough to be out. It's so lightweight I don't feel like I'm wearing anything. I don't break out from it either, past ones I've used weren't good on my sensitive skin.
Holy Grail Tinted Moisturizer

I didn't even need foundation over it, and I don't use concealer when out by the pool or beach. My skin is hydrated, even, and feels great. First Aid Beauty has yet to let me down. Love their stuff!!

if you use this outside or at the gym it will literally melt off of your face in the most unattractive way. literally was embarrassed leaving the gym after wearing this to work out 😭 i looked like a wet painting. never again
The Older Version Was Better
Jasmine from Philadelphia, Pa
I have been buying this in the color rich for 2 years now. I have noticed that the formula has changed. The product seperates and become very greasy and leaks out of the container when it is closed. Please, Please, Please go back to the original formula. I used to be in love with this product.
Wanted to love it
Beka from Bonita Springs, FL
I loved the color of the product, but it was greasy and came off very easily. It also made my eyes burn if for some reason my eyes started to water while I had it on. Wanted to love it, but probably won't be purchasing again.
Elizabeth from US
My absolute fave! I don't like foundation at all but whenever I do use anything it is this product! Smells so good and lasts all day. I have dry skin and never had an issue with getting oily. Def shop for this in store and not online though, the shades do pull pretty warm. I usually wear a "warm medium" foundation shade and I use the shade light in this! The SPF is an added bonus :)
I'm not sure
