Most Helpful Positive Review Not good for multiple layers!!! FLAKY!!
I bought this product after seeing video reviews online saying how light and buildable this product was. I tried it on the second I got it and with just one layer and diffusing it with my finger the product looked really nice, you can't even tell it is on your lips and is transferproof. The color also wasn't super dark and not patchy when applying. HOWEVER, when I applied another layer to make the color more opaque, the product felt drying on the lips and eventually started to flake off the more I wore it. when it started to flake off my lips also started to feel a bit tacky and I just has to remove it from how weird it felt. BOTTOM LINE, if you wear this as one layer, sheer, for a more natural look, its a great, comfortable product. I don't recommend putting on multiple layers with this one. I am giving it 4 stars because I normally wear a diffused lip color anyway rather than a full on opaque color but I know for the ones who want something more intense/darker, this is not a good product for you! < 3
Most Helpful Critical Review Odd, chunky texture on the lip after a while
I love Colourpop I have a few of their palettes, buy their mascara, and have been really pleased with everything I've ever gotten from them. However, I decided to try this product and at first I really loved it. But recently when I used it again, the texture and feeling it had on my lips was just bizarre. I don't know if it had always been like that or not but I was not a fan.
The lipstick felt super tacky soon after application and didn't lay right on my lips at all. No matter now many times I tried to re-do my lip it just ended up disappointing and frustrating. The matte-ness of the product didn't seem right at all. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I am a long-time user of the NYX soft matte lip creams, but they never last long at all. I found this formula when the Sailor Moon collection came out and decided to buy a bunch of other colours. They dry down to a blurred matte finish and can be longwearing. The only bad things are: it can be crumbly if you don't put lip balm on before application. It also is pretty sheer and can't be layered (which I don't mind but just know you won't get full coverage with these!)
Would buy again

Looks perfect onto my brown lips
Do not purchase!

Tried this product thinking it would add the deeper shade that it presents in the bottle. Was deeply disappointed in the lack of color, smell and taste. Returned item the next day.

Velvety, applies nicely and doesn't wear off easily. Doesn't fry my lips out and it's a perfect nude color.
So drying and cracking
kat from fun
I don't like this formula at all. It goes on streaky and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to look good. I even moisturized my lips super good before I put it on and it just felt like it was sucking all moisture out of my lips and it cracked within the first half hour or so that I put it on. It made me lips so dry and chapped after I took it off. This lipstick is not for me.

I've bought multiple of these, I like them, but there's better lip products out there. I just found that these ones come off easily even though they dry down.
Love this formula, especially for mask wearing.

This lip product is great. I have a few colors. Starling is pretty. It is not too brown. It is a taupe nude.

I like the colors but the formula is very drying. It felt like it was immediately pulling all the moister from my lips and they started drying worse after first use. I took all three I bought back to the store.
One of my favorite lip products

I'm obsessed with this product for that sheer matte wash of color that lasts a long time! Like I just ate a popsicle or your lips but better look.

I got this in Starling and it's the perfect nude (not too pink, not too dead) for my light medium olive skin. It doesn't transfer easily, isn't dry-feeling on the lips and is absolutely matte. It's not completely opaque which suits me fine for an everyday color. Already bought a backup.
Sweetie from Online
I bought the shade Zuma and it's like a reddish pink. The formula is very lightweight and can be worn like a lipstick or a natural wash of color. It dries down nicely. If you want a light wash of color apply one swipe on the bottom lip and blend out with your lips to give a very light wash of color.
The best stay-put Matte
Best Matte for Mask Life from Washington, Dc
I was looking for a lip combo that I could set and forget. With the mask requirements it is so frustrating to put on a lip only to have your whole face smudged and a mess so I was looking for a matte that would stay and I wouldn't have to reapply when I took off my mask. I have plenty of mattes and this is the only one that has stayed completely in place. I used it in combination with a matte liner and it literally didn't look touched when I took my mask off. Also the blotted effect give it a bit of a blurred smooth appearance..I will say when I picked this up one of the consultants was nice enough to tell me how important it was to use a wax lip balm not an lip oil prior to applying it as it helps with drying and not breaking down the product. She was right! I put on a light swipe of my Burt Bees and my lips didn't dry the whole night. I might pick up every color!
Blotted look, color a little inaccurate
Cait from Tacoma, WA
I was looking for a color to match my natural lips when I put on chapstick or a scrub—that barely-there rosy nude. I'm not a huge fan of lipsticks (and you can't really wear them under masks anyways). So I bought Doozy and sleepy eyes, to see which was best. I have very pale-neutral skin, but I didn't think that it would have been that bad. Doozy was waaaaaaaaay too pink, almost neon. Kinda drowned me out. Sleepy eyes looks much darker in the photos here than it does in person, it's still rosy and nude, but pretty light compared to the photo. However, it looks really nice on my lips! It is a bit drying, but I usually clean my lips and then put on some chapstick, wait a few minutes for it to soak in and moisturize them, and then put this on top. I'm left with a soft look. It went on easy, and it stays pretty well too. Just wish that the photo colors were more accurate, or they had models forearms to test shades on and show you what it would look like.
Gives the blotted color but lasts!
Emale from North Carolina
Love these! I have three colors and I love the application and the colors. They also last! For the price it's worth every penny.
Not what I expected

The pick that they used is a whole different lipstick I got disappointed

This right here!! My lips are always dry and makes everything crack! But this right here!! I was so shocked!! I ate tri-tip potatoes sautéed zucchini!!!! And I even wiped my mouth!! It stayed on!! No cracks no flakes!!! It's been 5 hours with it on!! I even had drinks! This 😩😩😩 I'm about to order 5 of my favorite colors....
This was exactly everything I went in looking for
Medigan from san diego
I was looking for a liquid lipstick that was just a shade darker than my natural color, with long wear, and wouldn't dry out my lips. This is perfect! It's super soft, dries quickly. It's not sticky at all, more like velvety smooth.
Nikki from USA
I got the bright cherry color. It was very streaky going on my lips. Did not like it.
Fina from Olympia, Wa
I got a perfect neutral shade that goes with my skin and I love it. this is not a lipstick that you put lip gloss on top though.
Sonja from Alaska
I got Cherry On Top - I thought it was going to be darker, but it's still a beautiful shade. I absolutely love this formula!
n. from Kentucky
if you want this to look good know 1) it's a build able colour 2) you have to put a moisturizer under it. I use coconut oil and brown sugar scrub and then lip oil and then the lip stick.
Pretty good ngl
Janie from Los Angeles
I read some other reviews saying that this was very drying, but I was still curious and I'm glad I got it. Its not drying out my lips, it's a very nice subtle color. Looks like a blotted lip and feels like nothings there.
Waste of money
Fran from Virginia beach
Don't waste your money, this is a terrible lipstick, not pigmented at all.
Elena from New Mexico
I really, really don't like this formula. No matter what I do, it applies super streaky and starts crusting off my lips after barely an hour. It looks like I had super chapped lips, applied smudgy lipstick, and then ate a meal that wiped it off. Not flattering at all.
Love this colour!!

I love that this product is right by the check out counter and I never forget to check the new arrivals.
