I bought this a couple days ago and I love it! I use it right after I blend my concealer to stop creasing and all over my face at the very end. It stops my concealer from creasing by instantly setting it and gets rid of all the shine (except my highlighter of course) But you need to watch out! I was taking pictures after I finished my makeup because I was feeling accomplished and I noticed something crazy. With the flash, I looked like a ghost. I instantly grabbed a brush and buffed it into my skin more. Use less product then you think you need and buff more to avoid this I learned. I included before I buffed extra and after I buffed.
This product is not for me.. It gave me a white chalky finish when it was suppose to appear neutral on all skin types but on mines ( woman of color ) it does not. In my photo you can see that I didn't apply much and some areas I left blank so you can see the difference. This product is best for someone who is not of color. Also on whether it last long and shields the shine I do not know because I have not worn it a full day.

This is the worst powder i have ever used in my entire life. It has a horrible flashback that looks like chalk and doesn't blend no matter what. Have fun in the trash 🩷

Leaves white under eyes, doesnt brush off, looks and feels like chalk

horrible flashback. Possibly the worst I've ever had with any powder. And the powder is so fine that you breathe it in so much. Hated it

I don't wear a lot of makeup, and almost never wear any kind of foundation or other facial coverage. But I have a super oily face, and was excited years ago to discover that HD powder products could make it so my face felt dry and clean at 6pm, rather than feeling gross! But some HD powders feel weird when you use them as your only face product (rather than in conjunction with other face makeup). Happy to report that this feels great on my skin, absorbs oil and feels like it leaves nothing at all behind. It IS very powdery and dry, so don't breathe it in! Also, I have "pale as a ghost" privilege and thus do not experience flashback in general - the powder is white and has no pigment, maybe not great for darker skin tones. Because Ulta's inventory constantly changes, I came back to order 5 more containers of this, so I am never without it! There's an Ulta store-brand white HD powder that works well for me too, but they're not carrying it right now :(

I love NYX and have used their green pressed powder for years. I tried this for the forst time and couldnt even put it on my face from the awful smell.

this setting powder is the worst setting loose powder ive ever bought. When u flash a light on your face u can still see where u placed the setting powder even though without the flash light looks normal but this is a bad setting powder gets messy and weird texture wish i can rate this 0 STARS TRUST ME GIRLS AND BOYS THIS IS HORRIBLE.

Like that my face doesn't look cake up.

I have sensitive skin and combination. This works well for me and keeps my makeup set and controls oil. I have also tried elf HD and elf glow and those powders dont set well on my skin and feel weird. This is worth the extra $3. Couldnt live without this in hot weather

I tried this because it wasn't too expensive and I am very fair. However I'm convinced they put baking soda (not even powder) into the jar. Every time I even took the top off the powder would fly out everywhere. The formula is way too dry and it settles into all of my creases. I really can't stand this powder.

It does the job! I had a problem with the packaging but maybe that's just me

This should be taken off the market. No matter how you apply, the particles linger in the air and I believe pose a health hazard for those with asthma and similar conditions (which I don't have but still felt this was a dangerous product). Returned!

I always see products like this with mixed reviews. Keep in mind this is a FINISHING powder. It's a total dupe for the MUFE one. This isnt a setting powder, its not meant to be used to set your makeup with a sponge, powder puff or to bake. Use your regular setting powder, your blush, contour, etc use your setting spray and then use this after. A TINY TINY amount in areas with texture and itll help mattify and smooth the skin with NO flashback. It's not a touch-up powder. You shouldnt see the powder on your brush with how tiny of an amount you need to get the smoothing effect. That being said, this product is a total dupe for the MUFE version. I always go back to this to finish my face and add that smooth/blurring effect.

I bought this, wore it a couple of times, and returned it immediately after I saw pictures of myself. It gave TERRIBLE flashback. It also gets everywhere, I had it in my makeup bag and it was closed and the powder got over everything.

The packaging for this powder is not good. It's so hard not to have the powder go everywhere when you open/close it. Average performance too. Definitely turn to other NYX powders or other brands' powders.

I have a very oily face and this has been the ONLY thing that has kept my oil under control but also keeps my makeup perfect during the texas heat. For everyone saying it's visible, and talking about the flashback.. you just can't use that much. I put my brush in it and then tap the brush onto the upside down lid getting any excess off and then apply it. I've never had any issue with it being visible or flashback.

If you are going out to take pictures with flash do NOT recommend, this product has very intense flash back!!!

It's cakey, smells like talc, has a chalk texture and causes creasing.

I recently got this and I always make research on products that I'm about to buy, but because it was NYX I had doubt that it would be bad. As you've seen the review pictures the same thing had happened to me, it was visible in darker lighting and I kept trying to wipe it off but it did not just work and my makeup was ruined! I do not recommend this product.. it also has a horrible smell and it's too "Smokey" every time I would tap this product on with a makeup powder puff it would get everywhere and it would always get in my nose having me inhaling it… I threw this product away after one use.

THE WORST setting powder. I don't know how they still sell this product, NYX has so many other good products. DO NOT BUY THIS. If you want an affordable powder, I suggest the wet n wild.
Anna from FL
I was not a fan of this powder. I didn't feel like it went on translucent, I thought it left a white cast when used to set my foundation, and it didn't blend well. Love most NYX products, but won't buy this again. Maybe their other powder is better

I started just using this to set my brows about 7 years ago. Never used it for my face until about 3 weeks ago. I had no idea it was so awesome for setting my T zone. I definitely had to figure out the right placement but after that I was blown away.

Honestly have never had an issue with NYX products but this was BADDDDD! Absolutely awful…it gave me the WORST flashback ever!! It left my skin looking flawless to the human eye but did me so dirty in pictures. Stick to the Laura Mercier setting powder!
