You have to be very gentile with the top or it will break and then I'm not sure how you would get the product out. I thought it would be more like a mousse so the container would have made sense but it's not, it's a thick cream. So maybe a revamp of the container is in order. This is one of the few leave in conditioners I have found that does not have coconut oil in it. Coconut oil for my hair dries it out, and my hair starts to repel water and products. Making it hard for any of my products to penetrate my hair shaft. My hair would not grow for the longest time, until I stopped using coconut oil based products. It is so hard to find products that don't contain coconut oil for curly hair. I was so happy to see this was one of them, I was drawn to their key ingredients of Olive oil, Shea butter, Glycerin, and Green Tea extract. All these ingredients work very well in my hair, this is a heavy thick leave in consistency. I wouldn't think of it as like a whipped mousse texture. It's more like a curling cream consistency. I don't section my hair with this product because it's not needed, I make sure after I brush my hair with the Ouidad reactivating mist that really helps give my curls definition btw, I flip my head over and use 4 dollops 1 per section of my head, the root, the upper mid shaft, the lower mid shaft, and the ends. My hair is really long and thick so I have to do it this way, but you can apply this product in a way that works best for your hair. It is a leave in conditioner, but you can use it alone or with other products. I read a review that said this product does not mix well with other products, that is partly true. I have tried mixing it with different brands of my other hair care products that I have and this product does not work well with them. I have paired this product with Ouidad's feather light cream and Stronger hold heat and humidity gel. It does work well with those, but honestly you can use this alone. I can't use it because the nozzle does not work. This is a fabulous conditioner‚Ä¶the only problem is the nozzle. What is most interesting is Ouidad has complaints about the nozzle malfunction for at least 3 years and this company has yet to fix it. The mere fact that many of the reviews below list this same exact issue for the past 3 years and the problem continues clearly shows a complete disinterest in supporting Ouidad's customers. This does wonders, I apply it before curling creams and gels and it has helped immensely. Leaves my curls soft and eradicated a lot of the frizz. My hair is completely mosturized, soft and my wavy/curly hair is defined. The container is a disaster! The nozzle is defective and there is no way to release the conditioner from the container.
