Nioxin System 1 has been a *life saver*. It doesn't completely stop the hair loss, unfortunately, but it has slowed it considerably. I no longer dread showering, brushing my hair or the terrifying roulette experience of putting it in a ponytail. My curls have come back, the thickness of each individual strand has doubled, and it's much softer and more manageable overall. I can't claim this will work for everyone as my issue is related to a specific medication, and it isn't a magical fix-it - I still have more loss then I'd like, I still have days where I'm itchy and uncomfortable and I'm afraid every move will result in more strands falling on my shoulders. But those days are far, far fewer and I am very grateful. Oh, and a note to new users - the scalp cold/tingling sensation means it's working. If it doesn't tingle, leave it on a few more minutes until you start to feel it, then rinse. Some bottles that happens very quickly, sometimes I have to leave it on for almost 3 full minutes. It's not the most comfortable experience but it's worth it.Most Helpful Critical ReviewDo not useI just want to preface this by saying I have never been a person with particularly thick hair. I wanted to change that and I had heard a lot of hype around the nioxin product line so I decided to give it a shot. I found that my hair right above my forehead in my part began to thin drastically, now a month and half in I am having to do renourishing treatments and change routine completely. I wanted to strengthen my hair and it just fell out. Also, the shampoo really dries out your hair and the conditioner doesn't replenish all it strips your hair of. Bottom line, go for ANY other product. I think it's #2 natural hair with progressive thinning.. he has thick long hair and this has helped majorly ... have not tried the other products yet just this scalp spray... another tip is using rice water once a week at most... rinse 1 cup of regular white rice.. add 2 cups of spring water to the rinsed UNCOOKED rice stir it until water becomes like a cloudy white.. cover and let soak overnight.. stir again then strain to keep the water and remove the rice...
