This is great and compact!!!! I brush my shades into the brush, retract it, put the cover on and drop it in my purse and go!! No mess and it keeps my brush and purse clean from cross contamination from purse or makeup bag crud.... not to mention all my makeup getting sluffed off during the process... This is a Perfect compact solution ! I Love Love Love This product !Most Helpful Critical ReviewGood for bronzer, blush, not powderThis product is nice and cheap (I bought it during a sale) and was originally bought to use with my MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural so I had a back up brush for travel. I found that the brush was TOO dense and thick to apply the powder, but it works great for blush and bronzer! Again, this was bought for travel only so I'm not too upset that it didn't work for the powder. I was reading other reviews online that said the brush 'loosens up' (not sure what that means, because it is a super dense brush) and works well after that. It has some heft but that makes it easier to find in my bag and it doubles duty as a self defense aid. Pros: dense soft synthetic bristles perfect for multiple formulas. Easily cleaned, dries well flat, more compact than a brand one I own, hasn't shed, works as well today as day I bought it if not better. Cons: the major issue is the sleeve doesn't stay slid down during use the way I'd like, also the lid is slip on/off and occasionally falls off. Not often though. I admit I don't wear makeup everyday so this is more of an occasional use for me. It is adjustable and retractable. The only thing I don't like is that sometimes it moves in the amount of brush outside the case by just simply brushing your face. I am not a brush expert but when I need to apply powder, this small kabuki makes it happen.
