It is super thick so will only work as an occlusive moisturizer like a mask; if you need something to seep in for severely chapped lips I suggest something with a far thinner consistency. It only comes with SPF, which I didn't want because of the fragile nature of my lips due to being on oral retinoids. I wanted Vitamin E, which only came in the Vitamin E and Shea butter version. The scent is so gross and overpowering at that. I don't lick my lips, but the cracks I have reach into areas where saliva naturally touches. The taste is even worse than the smell! I had to wipe it off almost immediately it was that gross, which wasn't easy to do while also trying to not rip off any skin. The sunscreen is a nice bonus. I don't usually have a huge issue with cracked lips but sometimes dry. My lips are extremely soft smooth and plump now. It's not clumpy but super thick.
