I was a CND Shellac addict but my nail artist moved away. So I started doing my own nails at home. I bought the Red Carpet line to use at home. I liked the color options. The prep part was a total MUST HAVE. The gel adhesion was not as good without it. YOU have to remove your oils to get max adhesion. Alcohol is super drying to my surrounding nail/finger areas and this is so much better since it easy to concentrate on the nail itself. I also use this before applying Jamberry wraps. Works awesome! Wraps stay on longer and don't lift at all! You just don't need this product. You get exactly the same results with 90+% isopropyl alcohol.
