They are not "foiled shadows" like you find in an eyeshadow palette and you should be able to see that, plainly, if you looked at any of the pictures. Or read the product description. Or if you read the reviews, or even the instructions on how to use the product. I don't know when people stopped looking for fact finding information but you can't buy an apple and then complain when it's not an orange. In 2021 there are so many different ways to find out what you want to know. If you're unsure what a "Lustrous Foil Eyeshadow" is, exactly, based on the information given, you can load up a YouTube video and check it out! It's a really cool that there are so many different ways to find the info we're looking for. As such, there's really no excuse for an "I didn't know it was x" when there are endless ways to find out what you need to know... Rant over.Most Helpful Critical ReviewI wanted to love thisI am so sad. I bought the silver one first, tried it on, and then bought the gold which I have yet to use. It makes me incredibly sad. I am a makeup lover, self taught, and on average wear my makeup from 5-8 hours (sometimes more) so I get a good wear test out of anything I put on. I have tried this on it's own, with glitter glue, with setting spray to wet it, and with both glitter glue and some setting spray. I have used my finger and a brush to apply. Sometimes it looks chunky, other times I strike the balance right and it looks stunning. That's not my problem with it- it's that this product lasts maybe an hour tops and then begins to flake off my eyes regardless of how I use it. Then, when I've tried to dab a little more or a tried and true shadow over it to fix it, it just removes the base underneath. This product is gorgeous but it doesn't last and is hard to work with. I bought it a few months back for a wedding I was booked for. I featured it on the bride. I also used it on my stepdaughter for her homecoming makeup. It is lustrous, affordable, buildable and I plan on getting the rest of the pots for an upcoming witchy glam shoot. I 100% recommend these! However, they require knowledgw of use in the application of foil products. They are not your run of the mill eyeshadow n they do not wear as such. I suggest using a wet eyeshadow brush or ideally a disposable cheapie padstick. Make sure you have good primer down n gently pat over the desired area to build effects. Use a fan brush to sweep away any fallout. You could use adhesive though I havent found that remotely necessary the times Ive used it.
