After many tries and fails, I found a daily SPF that not only works perfectly for me, it goes beyond. With the added tint, forget white cast, it's become my BB cream/sheer foundation substitute all summer. It gives enough slip that I can put a bit of eyeshadow and blush with this and feel evened-out, like a very sheer makeup. I have very pale, blue/pink skin, so many tints go to yellow or orange and dark on me. This is just right. Anyone with darker skin may need to adjust it (and Sun Bum could offer more tints), but you will not have the dreaded white cast. The feel reminds me of a whipped frosting. I have older, drier skin. I put this on after moisturizer. It goes on neither too wet or oily, nor too dry. A tiny pea-sized amount spreads well around my face. So with daily use, a tube is lasting me a few months. For sunny days, I have used SPF 50 and put this over. After it sets, I've had very little transfer onto my clothes and face mask. It feels like nearly nothing all day—not dry, not sticky. I'm sure this will vary based on skin type and other products you use. But for me, I am stocking up. It does take a double cleanse to remove it completely. I consider this good as then it hasn't worn off completely all day. I have reapplied midday and it smooths on the same.Most Helpful Critical ReviewMajor Dryness And BlackheadsInitially I loved this product and was very excited as it had no scent! It was the first product I've used that didn't cause any congestion, headaches, and eye irritation. It blended in evenly, and felt very smooth! I am very fair, and the color looks dark, but once it's on your skin you don't notice it. It felt like I had nothing on my skin, and the finish was very natural and matte. I began to notice my skin was becoming more dry, more blackheads, and flakiness in some areas after using this product for 4 days. Thankfully the skin issues resolved after discontinuing use of the product. It took about a week for the issues to resolve. Such a shame, as this would have been the perfect product for me. I still haven't found an SPF that my body can tolerate. The only problem is I have quite oily skin and this product never fully sets down on me. It can be hours later and I touch my face and it comes right off. I have tried powdering my face which helped a little, but I think I'm going to use the rest of it as a body SPF. I am most comfortable with a tinted moisturizer, primer and blush. Most sunscreens feel heavy on my skin; ditto with foundations. And anything that feels thick or heavy also makes me itch. In an effort to avoid the constant scratching, I decided to use only mineral based sunscreen products. I've tried everything from CeraVe to Drunk Elephant and La Roche Pose to Elta, yet nothing seems to be what I can wear all day comfortably. I tried this for the first time yesterday and I was impressed! I applied a light moisturizer to my clean face, and then, following other's comments, shook the tube really well, and applied the dermatologist-recommended 1/2 teaspoon. Although it felt like a lot, it was lightweight, the color blended in easily, it soaked in quickly, and did a great job of serving as a primer. It is definitely a matte finish. I let it dry, applied concealer and blush over it, and left the house. Sixteen hours later, it was still intact, none had accumulated in my "creases" or under my eyes, and I hadn't scratched my face at all. It came off easily with one shot of my regular salicylic acid face wash and my skin felt fine. I did the whole thing again today, and having just washed it off, there are no signs of irritation, outbreaks, extra dryness, excessive oil, etc. I am purchasing another tube today because I can't believe this is so effective for me and it is at this price point. Tomorrow I will try mixing it with something glowy/shimmery because I need to look a bit less matte, but I am sure I can fix that problem. The color looks nice with my light/medium neutral skin tone. I wait until it sets up before applying makeup. Once dry it works well underneath foundation. I haven't had problems with pilling or weird flaking like with some other mineral foundations. It has no scent. I apply my vitamin C serum first and let fully absorb. I apply this then dry down. Very smooth application. Then I use Bare Minerals original powder and I am good for the day. Wears well, doesn't rub off and keeps me from becoming grease face all day. Very soft and natural finish. Very happy with purchase.
