I use Zoya nail polish remover in this and it takes polish off my skin/cuticle area without any issues. Once you swipe this around your nails, dunk it in more polish remover then wipe it on a folded up paper towel. You can keep using these over and over again if you clean the tips right after using them. It's a great system as long as you remember to re-wet the tips in nail polish remover before you start your mani/pedi. I take the lid off the polish remover, set lid in a ramekin, and pour polish remover into the lid/ramekin. Put dried pen tip into lid/ramekin and let it drink in the nail polish remover.
