I am very pale and I mostly burn in the summer and then turn right back to pale so finding this natural looking self-tanner was a game changer for summer and special events. I get compliments on my glowing skin every time I use this product. I have tried other self-tanner products such as Fake Bake, Vita Liberata and St.Tropez but this one stands out as a clear winner. The mousse applies dark so you can see if/where you missed spots and even it out. I was alarmed the first time I used it because when you apply it can give the illusion that it will be streaky and very dark but DON'T WORRY! Once you shower it leaves behind a perfect natural, streak free tan. I use a makeup brush to apply to my hands, feet and face since it can be tricky to get an even application with the mit in those areas. I have very sensitive skin and this product does not irritate or break my face out at all. As long as you exfoliate ahead of time and moisturize regularly once applied, the tan will last up to a week. Unlike other self-tanners I have tried, this one also holds up really well in the pool/ocean as well for those of you using this for a vacation. Give it a shot, you won't regret it!!Most Helpful Critical ReviewAbsolutely NOT.I have tried many self tanners from all different price points and this has got to be the WORST one I've ever tried. I put this on and at first was really impressed with the Loving Tan application mitt and how decent this product smelled. It doesn't have that nasty fake tanner smell right off the bat. However, when I rinsed this off I noticed the tan came out way more orange than I'm used to. My own mom even pointed at my legs and said "You look really orange." The color isn't the worst thing about this product. It's true that over time it develops into a deeper color, which it did. But throughout the day I noticed lines on my legs getting darker and darker. It almost looks as if someone had stenciled this fake tan on my legs and left white stripes!! Not only that but it's now day 2 with it on and it's coming off in little patches EVERYWHERE. My skin is properly moisturized and exfoliated. There is NO EXCUSE for this to be happening on day 2 but I'm almost glad it is so I can wash this horrible fake tanner off quicker. DO NOT believe the Instagram or Youtube hype. I dont self tan often so I have a few bottles that are older and I recently ran out. After using this new bottle I isntantky knew soenthing was different. There is no green undertone at all. Im fair skinned and have always loved the green undertone because I used to get so dark and no one could tell it was a fake tan. The new bottle I just bought made me SO ORANGE. Im a long-time selftan user and this is my Holy Grail. Like any tanning product, you have to properly prep your skin prior to application, which means start exfoliating two days prior, and the day of, shave before application and hydrate your skin before applying. Also, use a mitt to apply to body and a blending brush to apply to face and hands. This product has a dark guide, making it easier to apply evenly and it blends very well. It dries quickly and, after allowing it to sit on the skin for the recommended two hours, simply rinse (do not wash it off your skin!) and the color finishes developing over the next 6 to 8 hours. It is a bit sticky and there may be some transfer if you don't rinse completely. However, the payout is beautiful: a dark, even tan that lasts for five days at a minimum (though it does fade more quickly from areas washed more frequently like face and hands). It fades quite evenly and looks natural, no orange tone. For reference, I have fair skin, and this usually gets me three levels darker.I would NOT buy this again1Liz from FloridaWhen I first put on this product, it looked really dark and I was excited. I read some of the reviews that said to wait longer than two hours to wash off, so I waited four hours. After showering the dark tint came off and I was left looking like I did before I put the product on. The foam comes out dark and applies like it's going to be a fantastically dark color, however, after you rinse the color is totally gone. I have a crazy rash on my hands and around the armpit area. Also it's very much a magenta tone which can leave you looking orangey.
