I needed a new hair care system now that it is summer and my hair was lacking its usual healthy, soft look and feel. Just to give perspective, I have VERY thick dark hair that is naturally wavy and flips up. It tends to get very frizzy if I do not air dry it completely before going to bed. Due to my hair being very thick I can get away with using very heavy and even greasy moisturizing hair products. But due to the hot weather, my usual hair routine makes my head turn into a slick back greasy mess. This shampoo and conditioner is the first I have used that actually makes my hair naturally light and soft without any weighing down. But amazingly, I don't have to sacrifice my hair's natural texture or shape in order to get that anti-frizz look. In fact, when I wash out the shampoo and conditioner, I can actually feel a little bit of the moisturizers linger in my hair. If this is a concern to anyone out there, just continue to rinse it out and there you go. But for anyone who has dry hair or thick hair/coarse hair, you know that any moisturizing product that stays on your hair and not your scalp means one less step to keep your hair looking and feeling healthy and shiny. (Not greasy). I used to have the issue of washing and conditioning my hair and literally feeling the water strip my hair of all that good moisturizers the products were meant to leave to help manage the condition of my hair. I know hard water has something to do with it but at that point I was wondering why I would bother conditioning in the shower to begin with if it just washes down the drain to begin with! This duo does not leave your hair feeling stripped of moisture and if anything is a good "light" summer routine to keep your hair from drying out but not feeling weighed down. Plus, it smells AMAZING to boot! It made my hair goopy and heavy. Felt dry and just horrible. I had to re wash with a different brand the same day to get rid of it. Not too mention made my shower dangerously slippery. Not sure what is in there products but it is horrible! Did not even waste time returning just threw it out along with the shampoo and the the volumizing formula which is also horrible! Only good product they make is there hairspray other that that steer clear.
