After dipping my finger into the treatment, I noticed how smooth and non-greasy it is (second thing I love). I slathered it on my lips and felt the tiniest tingle. My lips felt hydrated immediately! The next morning I thought my lips looked full and hydrated. Upon nightly usage for a week, I noticed a decrease in the appearance of fine lines on my lips. Using Burt's Bees lip treatment has become a part of my nightly routine!Most Helpful Critical ReviewNice feel.... lips still dry thoThis product is not really a treatment for dry lips. I tried this product for a week and had no results. When i woke up i found my lips slightly dry, to the point i was reaching for my Carmex or Blistex throughout the night. They work a lot better then this product for dry lips. With Carmex and Blistex my lips doesn't get dry throughout the night, just wanted to try a different product because the smell of them can be over bearing some nights. I do like how Burt's Bees lip treatment looks for a natural lip look however. I would put on a brown lip liner (MAC Cork) and lay this product on top. It gives your lips a shine, but not an overpowering one. However if you have sensitivity to peppermint or menthol I wouldn't recommend. I'm learning that my lips don't do well with excessive use of mint products. Also would recommend getting a lip scrub and exfoliating once in a while so it can actually penetrate. Regardless though I like the feel and I only use a little, which is all you really need, so the pot lasts me for a bit. And I bought a skincare spatula for it. Makes it feel more luxurious that way 🤣 and more hygienic but I like that I can get all of the product unlike in tubes. I've gone through this pot twice already. But again, the menthol does cause an allergic reaction or contact dermatitis in some people which causes it to do the opposite of what the mint usually does. Mint is supposed to be good for healing chapped lips. BUT for some people it just doesn't. And unfortunately over time I've developed a sensitivity to it on my lips. This treatment dries out lips and needs to be reapplied every hour if you want to keep your lips hydrated. I used this for a few weeks just to be sure and the results were pretty obvious. My lips were cracked and lifeless by the end of it. Such a shame...the packaging is so cute. It does have a nice scent and nice feel but in the end, it just doesn't do its job. With it getting colder and me neglecting my self-care routine, my dry lips were out of control. I needed an overnight lip treatment to help rescue my lips. This product worked WONDERS the first night I used it. On top of extremely dry lips, I get painful, red dry patches on my face if I don't moisturize 2-3 times a day. I had a few rough days and had red patches all around my eyes and upper cheeks. Since this worked so well on my lips, I figured "why not?" and MAN what a difference. The natural ceramides in the product really did a number on my dry patches.
