I have oily eyelids so the problem I have after a few hours is missing eyeshadow. Ever since I started using this primer, my eyeshadow stays put. It really helps my oily eyelids. My eyeshadow doesn't disappear and it doesn't crease! I was hesitant to try it at first because I didn't think a drug store primer would work, but it did. I have used Too Faced Shadow Insurance for years and heard that the Milani eyeshadow primer was a great dupe, so I was eager to try it. Milani's eyeshadow primer smooths over eyelids easily and is nearly undetectable once applied. My eyeshadow held in place all day without creasing, which is exactly what I want an eyeshadow primer to do. Soon after application, I noticed a warm sensation on my eyelids which wasn't uncomfortable at first but built into an itchy, irritated feeling. I thought the cause was a glittery eyeshadow, so I tried the primer again with another eyeshadow in my collection which has never been problematic. I had the same warm, burning feeling, and my eyes were a little red. Some research into the ingredients causes me to suspect Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163) as the irritation culprit. It is also in many mineral powders and many other cosmetics. Bismuth gives a pearl-like effect in cosmetic products. It is a white powder with a fabulous sheen and a nice skin feel, but it is sensitive to light and skin irritation from bismuth oxychloride is not unusual.
