I bought this to test for a temporary beard coloring. I've agreed to do a purple beard (over my gray) for a relay race, but don't want to keep it forever. I'll be spending 36 hours running different segments in the heat, and wanted something to stay, but not stay forever--and didn't want it all over me. I completely disregarded the guidance on the can for "highlights and hints", instead going for heavy full coverage. I've attached photos--one immediately after applying, one after running 6 miles in the mist and light rain, and one after 3 washes with clarifying shampoo and a 15 minute soak with 3% hydrogen peroxide. My beard dried pretty stiff, but that is likely because I put on a LOT all at once, rather than applying in light layers. It was also quite difficult to remove, again, likely because I went so heavy. It did shed--on everything, but really it wasn't all that bad. Considering how heavy I put it on, the collar of my running jacket only had a light amount of staining despite the rain. A kleenex could rub some off, but it wasn't noticeable to the effect. After the run, a soak with hot water didn't remove a bit--shampoo was required. This stuff is a win for me, no question. Now I just need to get the lighter purple to do streaks! One hint: soap and water does pretty good on skin, rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball does better!
I purchased the colorista red one day spray, Because it says one day and it washes out, but it actually stained my hair. So if you have light hair watch out. Im not mad because I like red hair. But it was definitely an unexpected reaction.

I'm growing out my gray. Have about 5 inches of outgrowth on shoulder length bleached and highlighted hair. My gray is not as pretty as I'd like—no gleaming white for me..on a whim I tried the Colorista spray in Silver. It's very pretty and SUPER shiny. Blends and brightens my gray outgrowth and tones down the yellowish bleached part. I spray it lightlly where I want it, then, and this is key- rub my fingers through my hair, spray lightly w/ Freeze N Shine and wow!

Yesterday I got the hair spray and was every excited ,when I tried it on the color was every pretty.I followed the instructions and waited for my hair to dry. I waited for a long time but when I touched it my hands were all blue and my hair was not dry and my clothes were all blue.I do NOT recommend this product.

Recently used this and am very disappointed. Great idea and excited to use, but it never dried and even though I used a towel when applying -it never dried and got all over my shoulders and shirt and I couldn't brush my hair-it got all over my bedding when sleeping. Every time I touched my hair in the days following it still got on my hands, shirts and neck/chin-anything my hair touched really. It ruined my shirts and bedding-couldn't wash it out. Wish it was better it really is a good idea.

I used this once. Walked outside and sweated a little. Ran my hands through it and now they're red, along with my shoulders and back. Hairline too. Terrible

I bought the silver and rose gold. Firstly, it's impossible to get even color. If you spray from more than 4 inches away, color doesn't deposit. Closer, and it's streaky and splotchey. The silver added a pretty sparkle, but when you touch it, it comes right off. Don't wear black, because it will show up on your clothing very obviously. Too bad, it's a great idea :(

I sprayed a white wig for Cosplay, let it air dry for 6 hours, and got the pink dye all over my hands, face and neck just during dress rehearsal! Very disappointed.

We used this for a wacky hair day at school. It bled everywhere throughout his day, including on the collar of his shirt. He washed his hair twice that night and it was still there. It was all over the towel we put over his pillow on the morning. It bled everywhere again the next day and didn't come out in a wash that night. Same issues and finally, on the third day, I scrubbed his hair myself. He's not a small child but it wasn't coming out. I scrubbed it 3 times myself, pulling pink (it was red) every time. I finally got it to stop looking so colorful in the suds but his hair is still tinted slightly and his scalp is stained in some places. No more bleeding on everything else though. He has short hair so we used less than half a can in the first place. I would have done better with a temporary hair dye.

My blonde hair is 3" past my shoulders. One can just barely covered my hair. It looked lovely, lasted all day, & washed out well. HOWEVER, I had to cover my car seat with a towel & couldn't wear a coat because it came off easily. A touch from my fingers & they were covered in silver! You MUST be dressed before application & put a towel over your shoulders. I CAUTIOUSLY recommend this product.

My hair is pretty much virgin hair so I didn't want to dye it for roller derby photos. I figured a temporary dye would be perfect cause it would wash right out. WRONG!! This stuff does not "dry" on the hair so you can't style after you have sprayed it. The color transfers to anything and everything your hair touches. Clothes, skin, nothing is safe. I haven't even left to take my photos and my hands/shirt are already painted too. It's been 3 hours and it is still getting all over everything. Next time I'll just get clip in hair.

My natural color is white/gray, and half my dyed/brown hair has still not grown out, which looks funny. I spray the brown area with L'Oreal silver Cororista, and it looks wonderful. My only concern is the aluminum particles in the spray, which is rated "worst" health hazard by EWG Skin Deep.

Absolute worst temporary hair color we have experienced! You would be better off buying the spray cans from the Halloween section. My child is blonde, of course we kind of anticipated the "1wash" wouldn't apply. What we didn't expect was the massive color transfer to absolutely everything her hair touched! When she arrived home from crazy hair day her clothes were blue, her coat was blue, her entire neck and chest were blue… we washed her hair about 8 separate times… the color was still in her hair, which was fine…. But even after that it was still transferring color to everything it came in contact with again! The transfer didn't stop until 3 days later when we finally got the color out. Never again with this brand. We purchased two colors, used 1, threw the other unopened can away. Save yourself the headache.

Couldn't leave my hair down because everything it touched would be blue..even hours later! Left my hair so tangled I couldn't get a brush through it. So difficult to wash out. Stained my skin for days. ..Didn't have a problem w/ a cheaper color spray

I couldn't leave my hair down after using this because if I touched my hair my fingers would be blue and this was hours later! This also left my hair tangled to the point where I couldn't even get my brush threw it. It was so difficult to wash out. This spray also stained my skin for days and left stains on other things hours after using it. I used a cheaper color spray and didn't have any problems.

My 9 year old daughter wanted to "dye" her hair. This 1 day product was perfect to get the effect she wanted without ruining her hair with semi permanent dye. Her hair was really tacky afterwards. She is has curly dark hair, we put the a lighter color on & used the whole can. Looked super legit & washed out after 3 shampoos in a row (I mean, we used the whole can so that makes sense lol) We gave her a deep conditioning/oil treatment after since the product seemed to be very drying...but temporary!

I have "salt and pepper" hair (stopped coloring when my natural color became more even). I use the silver and it gives my hair a highlight and shine I NEVER got with coloring! LOVE IT!

I used this to see how my hair would look in blue. Right after applying it I let it sit for a few minutes and color was vibrant and when I combed my hair my hairbrush was all blue. Stains ur hands, clothes, anything if touched by hair with this product. Also the color faded throughout the day. After the day had passed I washed my hair multiple times and still is dry, tangled, and in bad shape. Would never use this again.

Beyond upset, I'm heartbroken. I have spent years and years taking care of my blonde hair and spending thousands of dollars keeping my hair blonde. I used the purple spray once for one night and after washing my hair five times my hair is now permanently pink. I went to my professional stylist and she did everything she possibly could to remove the pink from my hair and it won't budge. After years or of taking such good care of my blonde hair I now either have to cut at least half of it off, go brunette, or live with having bright pink hair for the years to come. I will never buy from L'Oréal again and can't express how much I hope no one else buys this product either.

I got the blue can to spray about 5 pieces of my hair for a Halloween costume. It does state on the can it can take a few washes for blondes. After 3 washes I still have the blue in my hair, and it transfers to everything. My brush, my hands, my pillows. Regrets. I even washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo. Hoping it doesn't ruin my blonde hair.
