Ill never look back. I have straight to almost wavy, easily breakable and chemically damaged & split hair, that is on the mend, so I know it would have been amazing when my hair was in a much healthier state. The wins here on the Alaskan ocean was insane today, and my hair has held the curl for over 8 hours. It's so quick, too. I have breast length hair and it takes less than 20 min to curl. Yes please. Already plan on getting it in another size. The temperature control settings are great, and the iron does get very hot. I watched many videos before and after purchasing so that I felt like I knew what I was getting into. Apparently that wasn't enough. This seems designed for hair stylists to use on clients (makes sense), but is not at all user friendly. I feel like other reviewers must spend a lot of time doing their hair to get the hang of this because I have had no luck so far. I have naturally wavy hair so I don't use hot tools a lot, but sometimes I want that blown out look. As someone who used to perform a lot I have a lot of experience doing my own hair but just don't do it casually as much. It heats up quickly which is great, and I can easily change the temperature. It slides easily on my hair and my curls turn out shiny and smooth. LOVE the handle it's very comfortable to hold. . The Marcel style takes some getting used to for sure--you have to control the clamp entirely with your hand (no spring). I am not the best at curling my hair, but I was able to do at least a decent job on my first try. I had a stylist friend show me some tips, but it felt very awkward in the beginning. It took a couple of weeks before I really got the hang of it, but it is so worth the extra work and now my curls look almost as good as when I go to a stylist. Both ends of the handle rotate but you can also lock both side into place. Only complaint i have i have medium long hair and the barrel on this curling iron is a little short.
