I saw this in the store and thought, "Hmm. Do I really want to drop $18 on a hair brush?" But I'd read the rave reviews on Wet Brush detangling and shine brushes. This looked pretty much the same but with a matte finish, slightly different shape and maybe a bit bigger than the original. The matte finish actually adds a bit of grip to the handle (nice when you're brushing your hair right after a shower and your hands are still damp or slick with products). It's also comfortable to hold. I decided to go for it and am so glad I did. My fine, straight hair tangles if it even smells water. I never can get a brush or comb through it without leaving what looks like an Angora rabbit in the bristles. This brush glides through tangles without pain and without breaking or yanking out my hair. There are very few hairs left behind in the brush. They stay on my head where they belong. Sweet! I don't see the companion EPIC Professional Shine Brush on the website yet, but that was also in the store. I went all in and bought that too. It is also awesome. I use the Detangler to exorcise the tangles in my wet hair and use the Shine on dry hair. It really does instantly make your hair smooth, sleek and shiny. They are perfect companions. I'm relegating all of my other brushes and combs to the back of the drawer and sticking with this and the Shine from here on out. They actually live up to the hype and are well worth the initial sticker shock.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm genuinely confused how this brush has such killer reviews. I have fine hair but a ton of it, and it gets tangly in the shower - I snapped my previous Wet Brush while using it, so I snagged this one while it was on sale. I absolutely cannot use this brush just out of the shower unless I want a headache and watery eyes. It's wonderful on dry hair (hence the 2 stars), but I don't think that's what anyone purchases a Wet Brush for. Again, maybe it's just me, but now I have to spend more money on a second new brush to use on my post-shower hair. Wouldn't recommend this one to anybody looking for serious detangling action on a lot of hair :(

Ive only had this brush for a couple of months, & most of the bristles have went down into the brush making hairbrushing uncomfortable. I ended up just throwing it away. I would not recommend this brush.

My hair is naturally straight and essentially tangle-free so brushes arent something I have to replace very often. Unfortunately, all of the bristles have deteriated in just a couple of months of light use. They all just fall into the brush when it comes in contact with my hair.

I had one of these brushes for a few years and absolutely loved it but the one I purchased most recently to replace my old one is not the same. The ends break off easily and it pulls my hair out.

Lowest quality brush I've ever used in my life. Will have to throw away and ive only been using it a few months. Disappointed and wouldn't recommend.

This is the only brush I've ever owned that had accumulated weird dust bunnies that I can't seem to get out of the brush when I try to clean it⦠without dismantling it.

After finding this brush, I haven't used any other. So good at detangling thick hair, wet or dry, without hurting/pulling. I've repurchased 4+ times over the years β so good.

Love this brush! My hair is noticeably shinier. It also feels much better than before i started using this brush! No regrets on this purchase!

Although the bristles aren't as strong as I thought they would be, it is a good brush. it definitely smooths and detangles hair and it's got a good look to it. as long as you aren't trying to rip your hair from your scalp you should be fine with this product. i just wouldn't recommend it for those who prefer more sturdy brushes. π

My daughter and I both have medium, coarse, and wavy hair. This brush works wonders to detangle. I used to get headaches from brushing. I have purchased two and one as a gift.

Never left a review for a hair brush but this is the greatest brush I have ever used in my life! It doesn't pull on your hair wet or dry and it is super easy to get the hair out of the brush so you always have a clean brush! This works better than a wet comb βit is exceptional!

I purchased this brush a few years ago and was absolutely in love with it, it worked really well and felt great on my hair. It got a bit icky over the years despite cleaning it regularly (as most hairbrushes do) so I decided to purchase it again. I've had my new one for five months and it's terrible. Most of the heads on the bristles have come off completely and it hurt really bad to use it. It became so unusable I ended up throwing it away. I don't know if they changed how they manufactured the brush but I would 100% not recommend it to anyone.

I have 3b/c thick hair and this glides. I don't have to use force to detangle my hair, the brush does it's job. It's gentle, doesn't hurt when brushing (if your tender-headed, this is perfect) and easy to clean. Wet Brush makes detangling my hair a fast process!

I've had other brushes before with these kind of bristles and thought that they seemed a bit thin and wouldn't work that great with my thick, wavy hair but I was wrong. You can actually feel them on your scalp but doesn't tug or break hair strands. I would like to try their other products now.

I have long curly thin hair, gets out a lot of the tangles but not all of them. Bristles are a little weaker than I expected.

The brush itself is great! I love how it detangles my daughters' and my long wet & dry hair. The second time I used it, the gray piece in a channel along the side popped out. It's annoying & the brush looks ugly now, so I took a couple stars off. It's disappointing since it was a brand new brush!

Literally best brush ever. I've always used wet brushes but this is by far the best.

This brush is great and glides easily through my very thick, coarse hair while wet. However, after just a few months the balls on the end of each bristle have become flat and sharp. I've never seen anything like it but it's actually painful to use this brush now because it scratches my scalp and neck. Not happy.

I loved this brush and I wash it often but recently it's started to smell like mold. There's no for sure way to get out the water inside of it. Going to cut it open once a new brush arrives.

i've only had it for 3 months and the grey plastic things on the side of the brush have come loose. it snags my hair. frustrating bc this brush detangles so well!!! i got it w afterpay, i haven't even finished paying it off and it's broken. π
sarina from austin
there's plastic rods on either side of the brush and both of them popped out after the first use, i tried glueing it back and now it's all gross looking. it's too uncomfortable to hold when it's broken so i feel scammed. the brush by itself seems okay though

I thought I'd never spend $$ for a hairbrush, but I had points. This brush is fabulous. Both I and my daughter have very straight fine hair that tangles. This brush glides through without being too harsh. It's the only wet brush we've gotten that actually works for us. The bristles are soft, but stiff enough that it works. My son stole it because he loved it. I bought two more.

I got this while looking at other brushes and i am so glad i purchased this one! It is everything i am looking for. It detangles my hair without ripping it out and the feeling and texture of the brush is amazing

More than just a brush. You won't regret ordering.
