I have tried finger detangling, a wide tooth comb, and a denman brush. While those tools are great for detangling the strands of my hair, they almost never reach my roots. But this?! This brush is amazing! It goes through my hair like a knife through butter! The only downside is that I find it a bit hard to handle. Because I detangle outside the shower, I am able to hold it without it slipping out of my hands, often. I can only imagine how it would be bouncing around my shower... Other than that, I loove this brush!Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot bad, but not made for everyoneIve used this brush several things over the past few weeks, but typically end up switching back to my normal brush. I loved the feel and shape of the brush, it was incredibly comfortable and I felt like i had a lot of control. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like i could get the right amount of tension while brushing for it to really do anything. I'm unsure of what caused the feeling, but I think it had something to do with how sharp the bristles were. I was unable to get close to my scalp or brush my hair against my skin without getting scratched up. For reference, i have navel length hair and rely on getting a good amount of tension while brushing. As far as detangling purposes, it does a good job straightening strands out at the end of the day, but it's not so great at getting out the matts and knots that I end up with most days. The best part of this brush is that it's super easy to use on wet hair without stretching and pulling. Overall, it's a decent brush, but not so much for actually detangling. I would reluctantly recommend it. Right now, this is the best thing I have found for detangling my hair. It takes care of small and medium sized knots with no issue. The large tangles, however, won't move without a detangling cream or spray. I really like to use it in the shower when I wash out conditioner to do a final detangle so I can apply product properly after washing.
