My hair is very thin and fine, so I almost always use a volumizing product. This mousse is more lightweight than most I have used. It almost looks like a liquid foam (kind of like foaming hand soap).The bottle says you can air dry or blow dry. I have found that it does add some volume when I air dry, although my hair looks a little crunchy at the roots. The crunchy look mostly goes away if I thoroughly brush my hair roots after it's dry.
