My daughter and myself have very thin, fine, lifeless hair that is dry on the ends but gets super greasy at the roots. We received a travel size bottle of this mousse as a gift. Both of us could not believe how our hair looked after using this. It's very lightweight and you only need a small amount, but WOW! It creates a lot of volume. Love that it doesnt weigh our hair down or have that stiff feeling. Came here to Ulta to order us each a full size bottle. I love the buy 2 get 1 free deal! I would (and have) recommend everyone to try it.
I like that it supposedly protects your hair from heat, adds volume and at the same time has some hold to it. It would have been a dream come true for a person with fine wavy hair. But unfortunately it underperforms on 2 of those promises. It doesn't really add anything to the volume and it has no hold. There's no way for me to know how well it protects my hair from any heat exposure. I'll finish this bottle, but most likely will not repurchase. Everyone is different, so it may work better for others.

My hair is fine and curly/wavy just longer than shoulder length. This is the best product I've ever found for air drying my hair. Also works great with a diffuser, but I rarely do that. For my hair, key to it looking soft and having some volume at the roots is to use the right amount (about 1 1/2" in my palm), and shake the can well. If I use too much, I get a stiffer look, and have to scrunch it to loosen the stiffness after it drys. I put this on from roots to ends by running fingers through my hair and then scrunch it with a towel to get some of the dampness out and before air drying. Then fluff my hair a little after it drys. Perfect. Curly and soft, with a little volume at the roots and not stuck to my head. It also smells great. I was stuck on Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Wild Ginger foam (for years) until it became hard to get, and Paul Mitchell recommended this product. It also works great on dry hair. I love it.

This adds zero volume, zero lift & zero hold Actually the name of the product is very deceiving because I use heat protection in a separate product so it does nothing 4 me. It left my hair limp and without any body ovolume. It will be returned.

It's not bad for volume and hold but it's not great either. I can't find anything yet to live up to the Rusk mousse that has been discontinued.

I will bring it back, it was on clearance. Has no air in it! Comes out as a liquid.

I couldn't even try it, I opened my order and the perfume smell was overwhelming. Think old lady wearing way too much perfume and your stuck sitting next to her on a plane!!

I have fine hair with a natural wave. This is my new root lifter, and I love the one I use already. This new Paul Mitchell Neuro line is wonderful. I can shower in the evening and go to work without redoing my hair the next day. I really hope Ulta will begin to stock the other Neuro styling products I believe they are called prime and reshape. A little goes a long way. And the phone is light. So don't overdo it to prevent stickiness.

Originally went looking for the Paul Mitchell Neuro, reshape, and Neuro prime. I received two little travel size samples from my hairdresser at Christmas, and absolutely loved how they worked in combination. Since Ulta did not carry them, I tried this instead, and I love it. But I would recommend getting the other two products as well. They are fabulous also!

I use this product often and it gives a great shine and moisture to my hair. Keeps a style all day long.

This product added volume and hold; however the overwhelming perfume smell never dissipated and I had a headache all day. I love his products but can't use a lot of them for this reason. If you have any smell sensitivities this isn't for you. I had to take stars off for this reason :(

I am a Paul Mitchell fan 35 yrs +. I love the way it makes my hair feel and smell and more manageable without added weight. Have always had a problem with Paul Mitchell foam mousse dispensers, but this one is the worse. Used 4 times, think I will take back.

I've never seen a volume foam work so completely oppositely! Literally gives me NO lift, and weighs my hair down. I am absolutely returning this.

This adds a Lot of bounce to my limp wavy hair when i scrunch into wet hair. I especially like to use it when i'm going to diffuse with some heat. Be careful not to use too much or your hair will be all stuck together. This didn't happen for me until my travel size dispenser cap snapped and then i had trouble controlling the amount. I already bought the full size can. The ingredients list on the can is a little swapped around vs on Ulta website, but basically the same - lots of proteins.

Bought the travel size to test this out, and after a few uses I'm ready for a full size. I have fine hair that has some curl to it and I use this when I straighten my hair. I'm in love. Doesn't weight my hair down, hair is super easy to refresh on day two without dry shampoo, really adds a lot of shine too.

I have tried more products for volume than I can remember over the years. This one is the bomb!! Full, voluminous hair that lasted for days!! I have waist length hair, fine, but a lot of it, some natural wave. The Neuro Finish hair spray is also AMAZING!

I'm usually skeptical in product claims since I'm usually disappointed with the results. I was pleasantly surprised that this product delivered what it said. This product gave my hair volume, body and bounce with the right amount of hold. As a bonus, it also has heat protection. I also use a volumizing mist prior to my mousse (currently I'm using Pureology Levitation Mist). I was hesitant trying this since some of the reviews mentioned it has a masculine scent. I get migraines and am sensitive to smells. I spoke with an Ulta associate who said she would describe the scent as clean. The scent is a little on the masculine side, but after it dries, the scent is gone. I am so happy I found this product.

I've used a lot of mousse in my time (fine fine hair here) and this is among the best. My hair is naturally wavy, 2a, and using this mousse bumps me up to 2b which is something I haven't seen in years. My waves are actually curls! Excellent ingredients here, lots of protein and excellent hold without being crunchy. I love this!

I have tried many volumizing foam products and I really like this one. I try to buy the trial sizes when I can to try out new products and fortunately a small can was available. I ended up buying the larger size when the trial can was used up. It is a very lightweight but has great hold (not too strong) and gives volume to my thin straight hair. This is a keeper!

I have fine hair and a great deal of it. Was seeking something to give lift. It worked well but the smell seemed , to me, to be more on the masculine side.

I wanted a mousse with heat protection. It works great...Lots of lift But the fragrance is too strong and very masculine. Not sure I would buy again. Glad I bought the travel size first.

Works great with diffuser and matching shampoo and conditioner. Lots of protein and makes hair shiny!
