I have straight hair that I usually wear down after air drying. I only need a little bit of this hairspray to keep my flyaways at bay and give my hair a little volume, without my hair feeling crunchy or looking dull. Added bonus is the smell is amazing. Within an hour a perfectly styled hairstyle is nonexistent...again, no holding power. Alternative would be B&B's Strong Finish Spray but for some reason B&B puts Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein in it which is the kiss of death for fine hair - very drying and eventually makes fine hair crispy crispy. Used to use Aquage hairsprays but they aren't the company they used to be - ingredient deck changed. I've used this hairspray since its launch over ten years ago. I have yet to find a replacement for it! I've tried the coveted L'Oreal Elnet stuff—worst scent ever! Even the 'unscented' version stinks! If you can't stand the scent of that stuff, give this one a try. One can lasts me about a year, and I wave my hair probably once a week. It lasts for three to four days, and that's only because I wash it, I'm sure it would last longer. I have a medium amount of long, fine hair that styles pretty easily and holds a curl really well, but only for about a day, two at the most. This stuff makes a huge difference! I also appreciate the cap. It's a twisting mechanism rather than another lid you have to keep track of. I've also never had an issue with it clogging. This is definitely not helmet head hairspray (try Bumble and Bumble's Classic for that!) but it's great for soft, touchable long lasting hold.
