I was tentative to buy it because no one had reviewed it and it's not available in stores. But I'm so glad I gave it a chance. I recently purchased the baby bliss ultra thin titanium iron and wasn't impressed, so I returned it and got this one instead. The plates glide down my thick curly/wavy hair so smoothly, and it doesn't snag. It's pretty lightweight as well. I love that you can adjust the temperature in 10 degree increments. The digital display shows you the temperature of the flat iron as it's heating up, (or cooling off) so you know when it's ready to use. The dual voltage is also a nice perk if you like to travel out of the country. I gave it a go the next morning and the same issue occurred. I contacted the company to let them know that the product I received was not the product I ordered through their website and requested a full refund and return label. I even included a photograph showing the plates mirroring the box. They said that they recently changed the product and did not update the website yet. As I write this review, it has been ONE month since I ordered this item and the website has not changed. So, I had to "Karen it" in order to get them to pay for return shipping, but in the end I am satisfied with the resolution. I only have use of one hand so it's size was perfect. After a few months of use, I noticed that the plates were loose and within a couple of weeks both plates had come out of the casing and were floppy. This prevented me from being able to use the iron. I tried gluing them in with super glue but it didn't hold. For the cost of the iron I don't feel it was of good quality.
