I pr3viously purchased a variation of this product with a sprinkle top (like baby powder). It came out to quickly and got everywhere. I even felt like I was breathing it in. Now, this version with the spray top comes out slower, is easier to aim and doesn't get on your clothes or in your mouth. And it is effective. Adds volume to roots and all over.Most Helpful Critical ReviewDifficult to DirectI purchased this and the regular version -- liked this one better because it doesn't leave as much build-up in your hair as the regular version but it's difficult to direct the spray of the powder. The regular version creates more volume. Once you actually use it, it adds texture for volume but honestly, simple back combing with a dab of hairspray does the same thing and it's easier to do. If I was doing someone else's hair I might like this but it's hard to do on your own, especially in the back. It adds volume and texture without being crunchy or waxy, it still looks soft, works like a dry shampoo and helps control oil. A little goes a LONG way. The first time I used it I sprayed directly on my roots and so much came out it felt awful. It just takes a bit of practice to gage how much to spray, and it takes VERY little to get great results. Spraying a little into your hands and then rubbing it onto your roots works very well too. I have waist length baby fine hair and this works better than dry shampoo for me. I can go an extra 2 days w/o shampooing with this product. I do use a gentle clarifying shampoo at least once or twice a week so it doesn't build up. Very similar to Osis Dust It but more effective IMO, and I love the spray option with this one instead of having to tap or sprinkle it into your hands or onto your roots.
