This thing is GREAT! I got it to replace my other GnH that I have had for years. That one is nearing the end of its life and bc of the deal on this one, I didn't want to wait til it finally gave out. One of the features I noticed right away is that the cap is thinner and more compact. My older model the cap is thick and there is no way to store it inside of the dryer. This one is about the thickness of a shower cap and it folds right up and can be stored inside. My other one gets hot but this gets HOT. I never turn my other one down from High to Medium, but I probably wouldn't be sitting here if I didn't adjust the temp on this one. I wouldn't say it's noisy although it does make that fan sound. But I use it at home so it's not an issue.
I purchased this when it was on sale for less than $25 Thought I'd give one as a gift but it was so defective I ended up returning it instead. The hot hair tube from the bonnet to the unit is short so you have the keep the unit about waist level. The unit tips over easily so you need to be careful not to pull on the tube when in use. The "locking mechanism" that connects the bonnet to the air tube tends doesn't hold well and frequently detaches. I initially thought I had a defective unit, but a second unit had the same problem. The tube was less likely to fall off if the connection was positioned at the base of my head and I was careful not to move. One unit was too hot even at the low setting. The other unit is hot but bearable at the low setting. The hot setting is too hot.

This dryer is so much easier to use than hard top dryers. You can move your head around and sit wherever you'd like. Easy to unplug the hose and get up and walk around. The hose clicks into place. Really convenient storage space saver like a small card case, can slide in a drawer or bathroom cabinet.

I have curly hair and looked high and low for a decent bonnet dryer. This does the job and leaves my curls intact. The hose is too short. Make sure connect it to the cap until it clicks. I also rotate my cap so the hose comes to the side. It gives me a few extra inches of wiggle room. All in, this gives me about 15 minutes of sitting quietly with a book instead of standing in my bathroom with a blow dryer. Despite the drawbacks, I'd buy it again.

The hose does not stay in the bonnet, constantly falling out. If you lay it flat on a surface, the vibrations make it move so I have to either stand it up or make sure there is an objects around it so it does not fall off the table. I don't use heat on my hair very often so I kept it but seriously thinking about trashing it. Wasted my money.

I had seen the reviews that claimed the bonnet didn't stay connected to the hose and they are 100% accurate. Also the hose is too short. I have very thick blonde hair that is long and takes forever to dry. Though the bonnet and hose issues were something that was irritating to deal with it did dry my hair very nicely. A few tweaks and a new larger bonnet and i am satisfied with the purchase.

Dried my fine, wavy hair on the cool setting in about 15 minutes- way better than air drying for an hour and way way better than diffusing my hair for 30 minutes. The hose is a little too short but I just tucked the unit next to me while I was hanging out on the couch. Make sure to turn the hose nozzle into the bonnet until you feel a click, then it won't detach.

Was searching for a hair dryer while on quarantine. I used this one time and the bonnet fell apart where it holds the tube.. i have to duck tape it together! Gold N' Hot is a great brand but they failed on this one. I currently still use it in between salon visits but I'm on a hunt for another

This bonnet hair dryer is so cheap I'm going to have to return it. The way the cheap plastic hose and actual bonnet fit into these little slots with sharp plastic edges...it's going to rip. This design sucks.

I didn't experience any issues upon receipt and first use. Caught it on sale and it's a game changer for wash day. Currently wfh and can do my wash day with heat all while working! Love it!

I absolutely love this Bonnet Dryer. It is thin and easy to store away. It was just what I was looking for to give my hair some extra loving away from the salon. Now I see some user error has cause low ratings here so let me offer a few tips. The hose may seem like it is locked in place but you actually have to turn it just a little more to fully lock it. Also some folks said it wouldn't stand up, well if you look at the tag on the cord, it actually shows it lying on its side and tells you to always use it vent side up. To that end, I love, love, love it, and so does my hair!

I bought this to you for when I lighten my hair, and I have to say it works like a charm. It was super easy to set up and works just as good as the hair dryers in the hair salon. I would definitely recommend.

I read some of the bad reviews and thought to myself, well it can't be all that bad. One review said she was missing the cap and the hose, its tucked in the compartment. My issue was I couldn't pull it out without snagging on the sharp edges. I was afraid of puncturing the cap or hose. Finllay wiggled it out without damaging it. Then my hose too kept falling off. .... BUYERS BEWARE... THEY JUST don't make them like they used to, is all I can say. I'm not terribly upset because I purchased it at half off and used my points. I basically got it for Free. Those points come in handy!!!

I was very disappointed with this product. It is tricky to set up and does not blow enough air.

I bought this to heat up my hair when I am deep conditioning about 6 months ago. This unit does do that adequately. It definitely could be designed better and have a longer cord, bigger storage compartments, and not tip over as easily. That being said, I do use this unit weekly and have not had any issues with operation or quality.

I use mine when I do vivid colors or DCT. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Needs a longer hose but is so compact.

I just received my package and it is incomplete. No BONNET or HOSE!!!! Can't even try it out..... A waste of time and money... Will be returning ASAP!

Lightweight and gets really hot. I have thick natural hair and used this for deep conditioning and drying braid outs. The cord is a bit short, but does the job.

This thing confused me, after comparing both hair dryers sold at Ulta, I bought this one because it had better reviews. What I missed until it arrived and I tried it, is that it does NOT dry your hair. The hot air blows outside of your hair. The stretchy plastic bonnet just warms up. This looks like it was intended only for warming your wet hair inside plastic, similar like when you wet your hair and just put on a plastic shower cap. I don't get it and regret this purchase, way too expensive for what it actually does.

I bought this dryer on May 18th. This us my 3rd time using it and it is broken. The hose is horrible. I will never repurchase this dryer again.

Like most reviews, I am finding the hose to be the poorest design of the dryer . I am in the middle of using at this very moment. The hose not only keeps falling off but the plastic attachment on the cap has come off completely. So I am holding the hose in the cap , while wrapped in a towel . My hair is almost dry after 2 hours . I find the noise level tolerable and expected. The highest setting is way too hot. Medium is bearable but the hose is hot on my back or arm . I have the older version that folds down with a hard bonnet but the knob broke a few years ago . I would have enjoyed this if it just was user friendly. It is going back tomorrow. Today was my first time using .

So I buy my 1st one bonnet ends up ripping because it does get very hot but then why make it plastic? I buy a 2nd because it was on sale and thought ok maybe mine was just not made properly 2 weeks after having the 2nd the plastic tube part that is like a puzzle completely comes off the bonnet. Why make something that will fall apart from the heat. Annoyed!!
