My hair is maybe 3-4 inches long max. I have very fine, thin, super straight hair. I read about using a crimper under top layer of hair for volume and thought I would try this tool out. I bought & used the 2 inch model. I only crimped maybe 4 pieces of hair under top layer at the lowest heat setting which I believe is 250F. Then I used a nickel size of Got2B fat-tastic thickening collagen mousse on the roots, combed through and sprayed with Got2B Volumaniac hair spray. Before pic is my hair freshly washed and air dried, after pic is after using this product as described. Highly recommend for volume, texture, fullness. The plastic on this iron does feel cheap to me, but I am used to more expensive flat irons. I was disappointed to find the crimper has an on off switch and then a dial to change the temperature. There is no markings on the iron to tell what is high-low and the temperature range. I did try the iron even though I was afraid of burning my fine hair, I have no idea what temp it was on but it crimped it it fast. I just used it so I don't have any insight to if the volume will last and I didn't want to burn my hair so I only did a little bit. That's important, and it does! the 1" is exactly what I was looking for to crimp my roots for overall volume.
