I use this product on a nail with a huge split that won't heal. Along with the base coat and dip from Red Carpet, I can get the product to set and say on my nail for about a week. If I wash a lot of dishes or use a lot of water for chores, it does not stay that long (a couple of days) and will lift and start chipping off. It takes practice to deliver the desired results so it lasts a week, but once finished it looks close to a naked nail in color and shape. I use it along wih the activator and a neutral colored dip (Contract Please). The activator begins thin, so it is difficult to judge if you need more or less, or if this changes the nail you are creating.
I'm sure I will get the hang of it...but I have messed up my nails royally several times so far. As soon as I apply the activator, it gets lumpy and clunky and there is no buffing it smooth.

Works great!! Just follow the instructions, it's super easy and my nails look so good! So much better that's going to a nail salon and paying $40 for dip nails when now I can do on my own!

You put the activator on which makes the finish seem rough, then a top coat. You buff with really coarse file. Then you put another top coat on. It works fine. Watch the Youtube videos.

This product is the WORST! Does not open easily. Does not even work. Nails fall off within a day or 2. HUGE waste of $$$$$

the best way to ensure that you do not get clumps is too lightly dust off all of the powder prior to applying the activator. If there is powder between the cuticle and nail, as soon as you apply the activator it's going to clump. Take a light brush and dust off your fingernail beds and cuticles prior to applying the activator to avoid clumping.
