I will leave this sit in my hair all day long for 8 or more hours to brighten up my reds. It's gentle enough to do so and makes my soft. I will even mix it with my permanent dye that I use to make my own color! It's pretty awesome! The only thing is you have to get patient and careful to not get it all over the place (on your ears ad such) Because you will be stuck with it for about a day or so after but honestly my hair covers all of that and it's totally worth it so I don't mind. I get alot of compliments and people are always asking me how I get my hair to stay red an what dye color do I use. My hair dresser used to do my color but now I do it to save money and he says I do great with it and I know what I'm doing. I also wash my hair in cold water! that is a huge thing with reds!
Okay so it really depends what you're looking for. I wanted pink hair for only a few months during the summer and expected that after a couple months it would just wash out. I dyed it over my natural light brown hair, no bleaching at all. this was impossible to get out. literally nothing. I tried to lift it out, didn't work. Eventually I had to bleach my hair and dye over it but you could still see the pink undertones until all of my hair grew out (over a year). If you want unremovable pink hair. This is perfect

Worked decent to color the bleached strips in my hair. Not perfect but good for what i wanted

I used an entire bottle (I have dark hair but about 4 inches worth of bleached roots) and got zero color. I wasn't expecting a lot because the majority of my hair is dark, but I have around 4-5 inches of bleached roots that were already pink but had months of fading. I applied the entire bottle on just the 5" of bleached roots, used as directed and waited 45 instead of the 30 recommended minutes. when I rinsed out my hair there was zero color. It applied fine, but after plain cold water wash out there was no color picked up. my bleached parts are still white.

i have been maintaining the most beautiful burgundy hair for years, and now the shade is missing. literally lasts so long and is perfect.

I dont bleach my hair and this gives me such a vibrant purple and lasts through so many washes! It does stain so be careful but the color payoff is better than any other dye and it doesnt damage my hair in any significant way

Application is messy, and washing your hair will be messy for weeks. no matter how many time you wash it will continue to leave pink everywhere for several weeks.

This product dyed my hair (had been lightened to medium blonde) brown and no amount of shampooing can get it out. After a month it looks slightly lighter brown, but still not the purple I was hoping for and it didn't wash out enough to be able to use another vibrant dye. I don't know if it was just this shade but I won't be using this product again. The regular Manic Panic did not have this issue.

I have never used a hair dying company who has bleed as much as this. when washing it out, my entire face and hands looked like tomatoes! it was so hard to eacth out of my skin! I will never use manic panic again. Other red dyes like artic fox and lime crime don't give me that problem.

It is the first time I use it and received a lot of compliments. Love it

I've been using Arctic Fox for a couple years now but decided to try out this purple. Not only is it not purple, it actually toned my roots from an yellowish blonde back to brown and cannot be layered over any previous hair color. I can't upload photos but it came out completely splotchy and I've had to redye it to cover the mistakes. It works more as a toner but I would not recommend this at all.

Did both my own hair and my daughter's. Daughter's hair is naturally dirty blonde, mine is bleached blonde (and I get fantasy colors put in on the regular). My daughter got nothing, I got the faintest tinge of purple, that came out completely after the first wash (1 week later). Color was left on for over an hour to process.

I have had pink hair for years but my regular color was discontinued a couple of years ago and I have been shopping around and trying others ever since. I decided to try this color and I am so glad that I did. It is very vibrant and bright. I do have my hair bleached so that is a contributing factor to be aware of. But I have to say I LOVE THIS COLOR.

I have shoulder length, unbleached, medium to dark brown hair and Electric Amethyst is a noticeable purple that lasts for 5-6 days. On surfaces, it will come out with a household cleaner containing bleach. Definitely worth it if you don't want a permanent color.
I used the Dark Star color on unbleached, medium to dark brown, shoulder length hair and made it appear almost black with a slight blueish/purple tint. One bottle was enough for my length. It barely stained my skin. Since I wash my hair everyday, this color lasted three days. Some of the other Manic Panic semi-permanent colors I have used lasted for six. The reason I have four stars is because it's a great color but best on pre-lightened hair.

I am dying my hair new colors every few months but had never tried Manic Panic except for their blech kit (which i love) and decided to try the dye. I can not stress how much this bled and stained when washing it out and washing my brushes. All of my back is now pink, my sink, my shower wall under the shower head, and it still bleeds when dry. I sleep with my arm under my head, I wake up and now my pillow case and the arm that was under my head is now stained XD If you like to clean then use this hair dye

Beautiful color that came out great. Gave it a 4 because when I went to condition my hair a week later some color was still running out, however after that second time I haven't had ang problems since. Will say the enchanted forest color is more teal than green.

I've never colored my hair before, so I have nothing to compare to, but I was happy with the end result. I have brown hair and the Vampire Red shade came out bright at first, but after two washes faded to the effect I was looking for. It lasted about three weeks before I felt that it was time to color again.
A lot of people are complaining about staining, but I found that the color washes off my skin, towels, and shower pretty easily. Follow the directions and use Vaseline to prevent staining on your ears, neck, and face.

This is a beautiful dark blue for a couple days, and then fades to a purple. It might be considered "Shocking Blue" because it's actually purple. lol The purple is pretty, but definitely not what I was looking for in a dye I wanted to be blue.
One nice thing is that it doesn't have a harsh smell or any scent really. I can confirm that it does run and take FOREVER to rinse out when you initially dye your hair with it. Overall, I would not repurchase because this is not the first time I had issues with colors changing when using Manic Panic.

I applied this color, using gloves the whole time. Let it sit for about 45 mins. When I showered to wash out the product it stained my hands, face, ears, neck. And now today showering for the second time my feet are even starting to get stained from the color rinsing down. It says to wash until it runs clear. Well it doesn't. I keep washing my hands and the color will start to fade but then I lean my head on my hand and the color comes off on my hand again. Anything my head comes into contact with is now ruined as the color comes off. Now I have this color all over my body, pillow cases, clothes. This is the first time I've used this brand of semi color. I change my hair color about every 2 months and this is the first time I have ever had this happen. Love their colors but I will not buy this brand again.

Worst red hair dye ever! Ive been dying my hair red for over a year and this is by far the worst dye Ive used! It stains literally everything...besides your hair.

I've used this product before but for some reason this time the color did not stick. I did unfortunately return the item and I'll be sticking to my original brand!

Be prepared for your skin and shower to be stained. Pillowcases, jackets, blankets, bedsheets, hoodies, you name it to be stained. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and find a better dye.
Ashchris from Mount Sterling KY
It didn't stick and what did stick is already bleeding out after a week
Winnie from California
The color comes off on absolutely everything. I've washed my hair 3 times since applying it and it has turned several of my shirts blue from rubbing off onto it even when my hair is dry. It rubs off on my skin as well and turns my neck blue. I've never had this problem with this brand of hair dye or any kind of hair dye before. Waste of money because I have to remove the rest of it from my hair so it stops ruining my clothes
Naomi from Orange County, CA
It was my first time using the new AMPLIFIED formula. So far so good. Disclosure: It has only been 4 days since I colored it. I have washed my hair one time. The color is still vibrant. The AMPLIFIED haircolor comes in a small bottle with a top that clicks open. This allows me to apply my hair color much easier and faster.

So I have been using manic panic ultra violet and purple haze for a while now no problem but I took a chance and used the electric amethyst and well it didn't do anything I had bleached my hair before using it and it doesn't even look like it took at all super sad
