I did receive this product for free, but all opinions are my own.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot bad, but no wow resultsI used to have white/silvery hair so I was all about that purple shampoo life! I've since let my hair fade to a more natural blonde, but I still like to use a toning treatment every once in a while just to keep it from getting too yellow. This conditioner is a deep rich indigo color. I was initially nervous because some other violet toning products I've used in the past can actually stain light hair purpley/grey if you use too much or leave it on even a second too long. Happy to say no issues with this one! I've also had an issue with other purple shampoos drying my hair out and making it more brittle. However, as this is also a conditioning treatment it feels much healthier on my hair. The only downside is that I haven't seen any wow results. I've been using it for a little over 2 weeks now and idk something about my hair looks a little "brighter", but I don't think it's made a huge difference in actually toning out brass. I'd recommend this to natural blondes who are looking to freshen up, but I think bleach blonde/platinum gals are gonna need something more intense haha. This stuff is PURPLE - dark and intense! I wash my hair with a clarifying shampoo (Paul Mitchell Shampoo Two or Three), put this product on my whole head for just a few minutes (3 or 4), rinse and condition (I have naturally curly hair, too, so it needs all the moisture). After reading the instructions a second time I decided to give the product a second try & use it a different way. I used this masque after my purple biolage shampoo in place of my conditioner & I am quite pleased with the combined results. Last time I used non-purple aveda shampoo then this product & then the aveda conditioner after & saw zero results. I was super upset give. The size of the bottle. I have long hair so I'll be lucky to get 4 uses out of this bottle. My hair is fine & this product didn't make my hair too soft or weigh it down. Combined with my fav purple shampoo I am very pleased with the results. I had a few front pieces that came out kind of orangey from my last appointment and this got rid of that immediately when I used it! It leaves your hair SO much lighter and leaves an amazing ashy tone on my hair. Every time I wash my hair I am so impressed that it keeps getting lighter and lighter. It is not drying either. I use it with a good moisturizing hair mask and my hair has never felt better. Im obsessed with this, its amazing and I've been telling everyone to get this. I put it on after shampooing and combed it through and it looked blue and I got nervous and rinsed it out after 3 minutes and it made my hair icy blonde no brass color left after one use. I have platinum blonde hair(heavy highlights) with a small amount of brassiness for reference. My lighter pieces are a dark/medium blonde. With dark brown hair comes orange and brassy tones. I can't stand the warmth in my hair... it washes me out. I have used this now twice, in the shower after shampooing. I can definitely tell a difference in the brassiness.
