I purchased is Kendra brightening set when I started going lighter (beige blonde/neutral blonde tones) from my natural color (medium brown). My natural hair color naturally picked up reds and I loathe brassy hair color so I really wanted a purple shampoo/conditioner set that brightens my blonde (balyage highlights) rather then "tones" because I always felt more toning darkened it and made my hair brown/light brown. At first, I'd use this pair together every other time I washed my hair (averages to once a week use of them) and I was underwhelmed. I felt like they didn't do much no matter how long or short I kept it in and it didn't leave my hair very hydrated at all and it didn't look clean. I stopped using them for a long time. And I tried it out again some time later and decided to wash my hair with the shampoo I liked and used regularly and then only use the conditioner with it and that made a HUGE difference!! My hair was brighter and not brassy. Every time I used the product like that, at least three people (including my husband) would ask me if I got my hair colored again. I eventually tried the opposite and did the shampoo with another conditioner- and it was still better but not as pretty as when I only use the Kenra Condtioner with my other shampoo. I'm running low on them both now, and I'm going to try something else *BUT* only because I love trying new things and if I don't like the next products I try- I would definitely repurchase this conditioner.
My stylist has rave reviews about the Kenra products and recommended I try them. I purchased the violet shampoo and conditioner and the root volume spray. All three products I returned. The conditioner did not have a pleasant smell and left my hair very flat and oily. I did not see any improvement in the brightening of my highlights during use. After several uses, my hair almost seemed thinner and very lackluster. I returned the product immediately. Do not waste your money.

Did they change the formula? Ive gotten this before and it was always purple. Ordered it online a couple weeks ago and its is a grey color. Not at all purple/violet like it used to be. Most likely taking it back to store to switxh it out.

I ordered both the shampoo and conditioner online. when I received my package, I was so excited to use the conditioner, only to see that the color was not purple like I've purchased before. It looked so discolored as if it was sitting for years.

I love this conditioner with the shampoo. I've used it for over a year, traded off when I ran out and then I had to buy it before it went on sale. I highly recommend this for blonds and read heads.

I bought this based on positive reviews ( not just on this site) I never thought to look at the negative ones. After a month of using this my hair started falling out like crazy.. At first it was making my scalp dry, so I thought maybe I needed to get use to it. It also made my hair feel like straw and was extremely hard to brush after a shower. It's been about 3 weeks since I've stopped using it and my hair coming out has finally slowed down, but it's still quite a bit. I've probably lost 30 or 40% just in a few weeks. Not cool

The violet toning in the conditioner has definitely helped the shine in my hair! I noticed that with this conditioner my hair is way softer and shinier than what I used before (the Sebastian Penetrait conditioner). I enjoy that this product is free of parabens, silicones, and sulfate. That's probably why it works so well!

Feels soft in hair. Smell is ok.. could be better. No drastic changes. Slight noticeable difference but then again I don't use it everyday. Hair is shiny after use. Would buy again. A little pricy but I had a $10.00 off coupon which helps.

I have never used a better conditioner in my life! I have thin dry hair that gets tangled really easy and this conditioner is amazing!! I have bought $40+ deep conditioners and nothing does as good of a job as this regular conditioner. Only con is if you leave the conditioner in for too long your hair might get greasier faster. One of my friends even asked me how do I get highlights all the time yet my hair is always silky with no dead ends AND THIS CONDITIONER IS THE REASON!!! I 1,000% recommended it!!

I use this along with the shampoo. This is amazing. Smells great! I have long thick, wavy hair and this definitely leaves it soft and and healthy. I only have to use a very small amount. Best shampoo and conditioner I've used! Well worth the money.

I like the conditioner but the shampoo is really drying and it tangles. If shampoo was better I'd buy the conditioner again.
