I own a ton of sheer lipsticks and balms, but I think I've finally found my holy grail lip balm! I have dry skin and like to have really moisturized lips. I'm allergic or sensitive to a lot of plant-based ingredients but not to lanolin, so this is awesome, and definitely the best I've found for the price! The plain 101 ointment is great too, but this cap opens and closes more easily/comfortably for use throughout the day, and the Perfect Nude is seriously my lip color (medium pink, and rarely pale) but better. This goes on glossy-satiny and not sticky and then sinks in for a gorgeous satiny finish that lasts a long time for a balm. No scent, no smell, just a beautiful and pleasant texture. Because of the lack of taste or fragrance, I actually prefer this to some of the comparably hydrating but more expensive balms I own (bite agave, nuxe reve de miel). I love to use this with the mlbb bite lip pencil in shade 010 for a more polished and longer-lasting nude look. The one caveat is that this formula/packaging combo requires a bit of thought to use without mishap. The formula is very thick when it's cool, and too much will spurt out of the large hole if you squeeze the tube too hard without letting it warm up in your hands first (30 seconds to a minute should do it). I also recommend holding the tube against your lips as you squeeze to help prevent this problem. When the spurt happened to me, I used the excess over my bb cream as a surprisingly long-lasting blush, glossy highlighter, and eye gloss multiple for a really pretty and fresh nude-pink monochrome look. Those with oily skin or darker skin tones may not have luck using it this way, but I'm dry and really fair, so I love it and will definitely use this as a multiple again! I fully intend to repurchase, and will be getting the Rhubarb soon for when I feel like going darker/brighter and pinker.
The color is a universally flattering nude. Upon application, the color goes on okay but it does feel thick. Over a few a hours the color fades, loses shine and you get a gross rim of build up around the center of your mouth where your top and bottom lip meet. It's gross! I have keep on checking that the building is not there yet making me look like I didn't wash my face or clean my mouth in the morning. I thought this was because my lips are so dry but...isn't this supposed to be moisturizing??

The application hole for this lip balm is way too large. The smell is horrific. It gave me a headache while wearing that only intensified throughout the day. I will stick to putting the original lano on my lips.

Rec'd a sample of Tinted Lip Balm in Perfect Nude and it blew me away with texture and especially the color. Immediately bought full size - exact same named product. The color was so orange - made my teeth look yellow. So disappointed as the sample really is my perfect nude shade and I love the moisture of it. Going to try the tints and see if one of them is the correct color.

Hydrating balm with lots of pigment for a beautiful natural look.

I purchased the Lanolips multi-balm ointment 101 because I had dry and cracked lips due to me constantly licking them. My lips were chapped during the cold winter months and remain chapped throughout the summer. And so I came to Ulta to find some relief I chose. Lanolips will be my go to lip balm moving forward and I'm also eager to try their other products as I have dry skin in general

This nude shade is the best shade that I have found to compliment my skin tone. It's just enough to give some healthy color to your lips. I will say since it is colored that the product will sit in your cracks and show the imperfections. This doesn't bother me that much but may bother others. I think it's a little bit overpriced for what you get, but it did last me a while. I do recommend!

I love their original lip treatment but this sucked. the color selection is the worst. the product is super thick and does not work well with the packaging

this lip balm feels so nice and leaves the perfect darker pinkish tint! it smells a little weird to me but it's not too strong!

As other reviewers have noted, the pigment is very dense in this product and a little goes a long way. The color is flattering - even to my fair complexion. It's a bit dry though so I put gloss on top of it. I am enjoying trying something new with this product.

I love this company. I love their formulas and products. I love lanolin. But I hate their colors. This must be the fourth one I've bought that I hate. This is not "spice" by any stretch of the imagination. I was expecting a warm, earthy terracotta red. Or at least wine. Warmer, deeper. Instead, it's a bright, cool, hot pink color. Like every other sheer pink lip product on earth. I don't know why it's so hard to find warm shades, but it is. I would call this "cherry popsicle," like a bright cherry candy color. This formula is extremely thick (which I love - that's what makes it so moisturizing and long lasting), so you can only apply a sheer layer before it gets thick and gloopy. I have no idea how you could ever achieve a darker color with this. It's sheer cherry hot pink. It also has a weird cardboard scent / flavor, different from their other products. Probably due to being unscented.

Love the product. It's not sticky, provides a nice bit of sheen and moisturization. And smell/tastes nice. But too expensive for a tinted lip balm. While I like it I probably would not purchase a second time as there are many similar options for half the price.

I hated this. It felt like glue on my lips.

Texture is great, feels hydrating without being too sticky or too slick. Main downside is the color though, it's more berry than the box/swatch suggest, and the application is both sheer and patchy

Perfect nude and so flattering for every skin tone. I love the Rhubarb but not so much the Rose. Rose clumped together weirdly on my mouth. This is a beautiful color that's conditioning.

I am: Fair to light skin (example foundation: ABH 120W) Dark Brunette Pros: If you love the 101 appointment, you'll love their color lip balms. I have the shade Spice, on Lanolips's website it's described as wine-stained color. I would describe it as warm red; it's could look like a wine-stained with a small amount. If you layer, it could be a medium red burgundy on the lips. With a good lipliner, it could be nice "lipgloss" look. The balm itself is top notch. It's best for the Midwest winters. When the strong winds are blowing in your face, no frostbite on my lips nor checks (I wore it as blush here and there, it works great for natural red blush). Not so strong of a fragrance, it very nice. Smells sweet. Overall, I love it. Definitely share it. Also, I'll be waiting for more deeper colors to come out. Cons: The applicator isn't ideal to apply onto lips. I say it's more a dispenser of product. The balm works best to get out of the tube when it's warm. I keep my warm by tucking it in my bra. If you can tuck it in a warm place like bra or pocket, it would help. The color section isn't dark complexion friendly. Yes, they are very opaque and pigment. I'm afraid with the other shades could make anyone with dark complexion look ashy or worse. I have tried other colors. Spice is the only color I find "workable". They really need more shades.

This really is the perfect nude. It hides any dryness (while helping remedy it), any cracks or discolor in my lips but doesn't look or feel like I'm wearing a colored lip gloss or lipstick.

have been a long time lover of the rhubarb shade and spice is just as nice, slightly more red. I have sensitive skin (eczema) and it never irritates and provides excellent moisture

I just purchased my second tube of this product. It smells amazing, looks and feels great, lasts for hours, and I've used it almost daily for over a year and still have more. I would definitely recommend this.

I had high hopes for this but it's not hydrating at all, the applicator is so weird and the color looks so off and it gets into all the cracks of your lips especially it your lips are dry or chapped.

I have never found a nude/neutral lip color that wasn't too gray or too orange, but this is a neutral that works. It's got just the right amount of pink/rose. My only complaint would be that it doesn't last long on the lips. But it's my go-to now!

Let me start by saying I love lanolips products. My all time favorite is the bronze lip, love it! This product I returned because the color is a red/dark pink on me. There is no brown or spice color about it at all. It was just a red lip balm, nothing "90s brown" or fall about it. I really wish it had been more brown or rust or even fall inspired but it wasn't at all. It just missed the mark shade wise.

Lano is one of my favorite brands, and this lip balm is no exception! It's super creamy and moisturizing with absolutely no thick sticky feel, I wear it and have been asked numerous times where I got my lips done! It just makes them look so pouty and full 😍 but completely natural, definitely will be purchasing more of their lip products!

When I hear spice I think cinnamon rust color. This is not that. It's a slightly more red version of black honey. Still pretty but disappointed it's not my fav cinnamon color for fall.
Meg from California
Not only is this product insanely hydrating and nourishing, but it's such a close color to my favorite shade, Clinique's black honey! More pigmented but able to sheet out nicely. Very pleasant vanilla scent. Once applied, I can't stop smelling it.

This is my first time buying from the company and from the description I was expecting an autumn spice scent but it's more like a sweet mint? That aside it's a really pretty fall leaves type red and very moisturizing. I really like it.
