Not to suggest that the lower cost alternatives are not any good (they may be a better value for some depending on the frequency of use), but I find the DryBar clips to be far more durable and longer lasting than other brands of "T-Rex" clips that I have used. I tried the 3 clips for $5 deal available at Ulta and unfortunately those clips broke after one month. I easily get a year out of the DryBar clips which actually saves me money in the long run. Unlike "butterfly" type clips, they hold even my fine thin hair (whether wet or dry) without leaving creases or bumps. And they are low-profile enough for me to be able to sleep comfortably in any position. Don't be tempted by cheaper, multicolored imitators you might find online. I've found the "copycats" to be made of thinner and flimsier plastic, with rough edges, inferior hinges, weaker springs, and easily broken. They are also nowhere near as grippy as Drybar's.Buy!
