I would enjoy it sinking in more to a matte finish, but that is generally my complaint on most products for the face. I follow with a primer, which creates a nice matte finish. Having very sensitive skin prone to rosacea - it is non irritating, which is a big plus. I use the combination/oily. I am so impressed with this product that I have switched to the whole Smart Line.Most Helpful Critical ReviewWhy do we not get to choose our type for samples?I placed an order for some of favorites products after seeing an offer for two Clinique Smart moisturizers (this one and the night version) for free with a $40 purchase. I didn't know I would get a random skin type sample, dry combination/type 2, because no choice was offered to select the sample's type in checkout. I loved the Clinique Smart serum and was really excited to see what the moisturizers could do, but I am a solid and obvious type 3. Unfortunately this is too thick and oily in consistency and I find my T-zone shiny right away because of it. My eyes immediately started to burn from the SPF fumes and then I got a headache. This happens with many SPF products, but since it didn't happen with the Moisture Surge Sheer Tint, I was hoping this product would be okay, too. Apparently they don't use the same SPF ingredients. I would love to have a low SPF product without color for everyday use.
