This is one of the best hair appliances I've ever bought. The comb attachment eliminated the need to use a flat iron while adding body. It took a few tries but once you figure out to use your spare hand to guide the hair through the comb, it's simple. Super fast. Hair looks as nice in 10 minutes as it would when I'd spend 30 prior to purchasing the iron. It's not 100% straight but I live in a very humid environment. If you don't, and your hair takes to heat styles relatively easily, I bet this feature works well for you. My hair is wavy and usually frizzy even after blow drying with a brush. Results after 1st try with this device.
I purchased the hair dryer for $50 in the beginnning of March 2014 and the only reason why I purchased a higher end name was because I was expecting for it to last me a long time. Unfortunately the hair dryer must have some internal problems because it no longer works and I have only used it for two months! I have noticed over the past few weeks when I used it that it would get really hot on the cracks of the handle. I ignored this at first because I could just situate my hand to where it would not bother me. However, yesterday this issue became bigger when it completely stopped working on me.
This is beyond frustrating and I want to warn as many people as I can to not purchase this product!

I bought this blowdryer for the attachments but they don't stay on!!! It makes blow drying my hair take longer because the attachments are falling off every other minute.
Hot Tools great customer service from Columbus, Oh
Fan was faulty. Worked great for 1 1/2 years then fan became extremely loud & quit. I contacted Ulta when the issues with the dryer began, and they were quite UNhelpful! I tried to determine my purchase date by searching my purchase history on Ulta's website, and I was unable to search more than six months prior. I contacted Customer Service for assistance, and they told me that they couldn't help me if I was unable to tell them my purchase date. I explained the situation and asked for assistance with warranty, etc., and they never responded. Hot tools on the other hand went above and beyond to assist me and replaced my dryer for me. I won't purchase a dryer through Ulta again, but I'd certainly buy another Hot Tools dryer as I was very impressed with their customer service abd how they backed their products.

I purchased this hair dryer about 5 years ago from Ulta and have had no issues with it. I found it to be a great and powerful hair dryer. For reference, I have a lot of thick, wavy hair and live in a humid climate, so I need to use a hair dryer every time I wash my hair. I love how quickly this dryer dries my hair and how silky it come out. It comes with several attachments, but I rarely use those. I would definitely buy again.

My Rusk hairdryer survived daily use for 8 years. This dryer lasted less than 6 months. It was painfully loud with progressively worse power until it just quit one day. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent.

It was a nice light weight dryer and worked pretty well. It worked well for both fine textured hair and thick frizzy hair. But after one year it is making a very loud crazy sound and it has stopped working. We are scared of it.

Unfortunately I should have read more of the massive reviews of the same issue that happened to me, it just completely stopped working after I purchased it just a few months ago! Clearly this is a consistent issue with Hot Shots and this dryer and they clearly don't seem interested in repairing it!

I would buy this again but I got sent 2 of the little bush attachments. I emailed the company and their return requests are really extensive!

I've had this dryer for about 5 years and it had worked great up until now. I would recommend it because it did hold up for a number of years so I feel like I got my money's worth. I think for the next round I would like to try a different brand just to compare.

I've had this dryer for going on 5 years and I absolutely loved it. It just recently died out on me which is so sad but I definitely got my moneys worth!!

I absolutely loved this blow dryer. I use past tense because I woke up Tuesday (yay for 3 day weekends) to get ready for work and nothing. Completely dead.. My man being the fantastic human he is, hooked it up to his multimeter and nothing still. No power registered:(

This was a great hair dryer for short hair...it dried my hair in a couple minutes. And then a couple weeks ago the motor made a loud sound every time I used it. Now it barely gives any power. I'll have to buy something quickly before it no longer works. I really liked it for awhile but would not buy again. It was used less than a year.

Worked for a short amount of time. It was also extremely loud.

I purchased this hairdryer in Nov 2020 and last month 2/2222 it overheated and broke. Disappointed I spent so much and it didn't last longer.

Had the blow dryer for about six or seven months now. At the beginning it worked great. Couple days ago it started making a weird sound like it was about to go out. Try to use it today it started smoking and a big flame and then it stopped working.

I've had mine for over 3 years and traveled many times with it and it still works great. I always use the diffuser attachment and I haven't had any issues with it staying on. I even got one for my sister two years ago and she still uses it.

This hair dryer caught on 🔥 . It started smoking and I unplugged it. Really disappointed. Smelled like wires burning.

I was lured in by the pretty purple. Then by the Hot Tools brand. I purchased it & am super disappointed. It's not powerful at all. It took forever to dry my hair & even then it still felt not completely dry. Will be returning this.

I owed one blow dryer-another brand, for YEARS, until it conked out. Bought my first Hot Tools blow dryer (the one pictured) at a garage sale of all places. A well-used one, worked over a year! So I bought a brand new one, but very disappointed. Stopped working after 14 months, made strange noises that turned to a grinding and stopped working in mid-style. I never dropped it, always cleaned the screen with a toothbrush to pull the lint out & away. I won't buy another, paid too much for possibly flawed design in motor?

bought this dryer i would say maybe abo< t 1-2 years ago. it works ok but when I use the diffuser or other concentration tools they come off easily which gets annoying. & it recently started making a noise from the motor which makes me feel it would probably blow up. "meh" type of product.

I use this to diffuse my hair. It's obviously not going to be as good as the fancy $400 blowers, but for the price, it's the best one I've used. It's lightweight and gentle on my hair. This is my second time purchasing this blow dryer and I also purchased one as a gift for a friend.
GG from Houston, Tx
The dryer dries my hair well, but the concentrating nozzle fits very loose. It rotates when the dryer is on and I can't concentrate on my hair because it's all over the place. I'll be buying a different brand soon.

I purchased this hairdryer just about a year ago, and already need to replace it. The motor sounds like a WWI fighter plane. It's also very difficult to get all the lint and dust out of the back- the cover pops off, but then you have to dig to get the fuzz out and risk dislodging the mesh. Waste of cash.
