The Ulta rep gave this whole line glowing reviews, and I was looking for something to replace my now unaffordable Perricone products. I purchased this cleaner and not two minutes after my first use I had a red/orangey face which subsided slightly by morning. I used it again in the morning and this time my face looked red/dark orangey and lasted until the evening when I washed with my Algenist cream cleanser and is now back to almost normal. I read through reviews and not many people had red faces, so I thought I'd try (due to the rare reaction I have from products). I then read through again thinking maybe I just need to get used to it, but I didn't see anyone experiencing a red face and sensitivity having an easier time the longer they used it. I am very disappointed this didn't work for me (I will say it smells nice, cleans well, doesn't strip my skin (and I have dry skin) and left it nice (aside from the sunburned look). For reference, I'm 45 and dry. I'm also sensitive to Perricone's Face Finishing Moisturizer (only that and this have ever given me a red face). I put it on and within about 15 seconds felt a burning sensation so I quickly washed it off and applied my normal moisturizer then took an antihistamine just in case it was due to an allergy. I've been using the brand Milk cleanser and it has broken me out for a month. So I saw this in a smaller size and decided to try it out. The consistency is like water. So be careful when you squeeze it out because it comes out VERY quickly. The SmELL is HORRIBLE. That's the only thing that bothers me about it. When I washed it off and it dried, my face felt not dry but not oily. Like the middle balance. It did not break me out that I've noticed and it actually helped the two acne spots on my face to diminish down.
