The scrub is fairly finely grained, and rich with oils. I use it before shaving, and it helps considerably. The oils remain, which is great for me as I have dry skin over most of my body. For those who want less moisture, soap can be used to remove the oils, but that does defeat the purpose of the scrub- to exfoliate and moisturize. Overall, it's a great value and a great scrub. I always have a backup on hand.Most Helpful Critical ReviewA little too gentleThis product smells really nice. I was a little disappointed with the consistency--it is thinner than I was expecting. It doesn't exfoliate as well as a lot of other scrubs I've tried, but if you like a more gentle exfoliant then you would probably like this one. The scent really is a signature for Soap and Glory, I haven't really smelled a scent like it before. I love it! It's light but floral, rose actually and bergamot. The exfoliants are gentle but effective at removing dead skin. It rinses easy and doesn't leave any residue. Nice generous sizing. The scrubbing bits seems to just melt away so other than the first few seconds you're not getting much scrubbing action.
