I bought this primer during my first Ulta excursion and am so glad I did! I have a ton of other shadow primers in my make-up collection, all of them too slick or they go on patchy. I use just a little dab of this on each lid and it's amazing. It holds the color all day long -- ALL day. The other night I didn't like a shadow color I put on and tried to wipe it off with a wet paper towel, about 5-10 minutes after I had applied the primer. Nope, didn't budge. I had to use my Clinique remover to get it off and start all over :-) This primer holds my shadow through daily life and the nights I go out dancing too. It's awesome and I recommend it to everyone!
I'm in my fourties so too much shimmer doesn't help me out. This primer didn't do a good job to prim my lids. Urban Decay's Posion Primer was way better. I'm now using this primer as a highlighter on my inner tear duct and it looks and works great for that purpose. I love the packaging and a little product goes a long way. If your lids are not oily and wrinkled (like mine) and you want that highlight/shimmer, you will love this primer. It's a pretty good primer for the price.

I have mature skin and hooded oily eyes, this primer is fantastic and my eye shadow lasts all day. I threw my urban decay in the trash.

This is the worst makeup product i have ever used. Please to not listen to the positive reviews. I used this with an eye cream and silicone based concealer as youre supposed to; set it with good powder and spray. My makeup halfway through the work day was embarassing. Tried it a few different ways, same dry, creasy, old skin looking results every time. I'm 27. My skin should be flattered more than this. Terrible, terrible product. Do better.

This eye primer is thick compared to my favorite, "Too Faced" Shadow Insurance. A little goes a long way. It definitely works well, just thicker to spread on your eyelids.

I have deep set/hooded eyeslids, so keeping eyeshadow in place has always been problematic. This eyeshadow primer is the best I have ever used. I like that it doesn't have an application wand…just a simple squeeze tube that keeps the product fresh (unlike Urban Decay). I also use it under my eyes to lock my eyeliner and concealer in place. It performs better than any of the prestige brands I've tried, and for a fraction of the price.

this primer could be used as an eye concealer base for the low maintenance girlies. the texture is nice and it goes on matte and velvety. only need a tiny dot for each eye and blends nicely with a blurring effect. i will be rebuying !

My eyes tend to water when I wear makeup. I think it was the eye primer that I was using. When I used this primer, my eyes did not water AT ALL, and it kept my eyeshadow in place all day! Will keep repurchasing, because I think that I found my holy grail eye primer!

This primer works great for me. It keeps my eyeshadow going all day. I also use it under my eyes to keep my eyeliner in place.

I have gone through 2 tubes of this so far and can't get enough! My eyelids always got so greasy, making my makeup slip off. This stuff locks it in place. No creasing or mess for over 12 hours of wear at work! Absolute must buy.

I have used this on and off over the years, as I do like to give other brands a shot. This product continues to deliver 100% of the time though. No creasing, no nothing. Truly mattifies. I've decided to quit brand hopping on eye primers and stick to solely using the Ulta brand matte eye primer.

This one works great at a fraction of the price!

I do not use this as an eyelid primer - it makes the lid look too crepy. I do however use it as a lip primer to make my lipstick last longer.

I was having problems with my mascara transferring under my eyes. By trial and error, I discovered this eyeshadow primer really helped with my problem. I am VERY sensitive to ingredients especially perfume additives. I have absolutely no issues with this product. I am highly satisfied with this primer. The price is great as well.

Beats all the more expensive eyelid primers by far!

My old favorite changed their packaging to the 'doe foot' applicator, which is silly, IMO. This is a great option and half the price for 3x more product. And it works quite well. Long lasting.

I'm on the hunt for a replacement primer since Smashbox reformulated theirs. I was hopeful for this product but sadly it did not last even half way through an 8 hour shift. For me, it dried very fast before I could even blend it out on the entire lid, let alone do the other eye. Don't add more to an already primed area as it will look dry, patchy and uneven. The hunt continues for me unfortunately.

I was extremely disappointed with this primer. I was trying to find an alternative cheaper version for ABH eye primer (which is worth the money!). I asked the sales associate which eye primers they recommended and was shown this. $12 and it's a bigger tube? Heck yeah, I left the store that day thinking I got a good product. However, I was majorly disappointed when I used it. I will give it being super sticky and long-lasting. But that's it. Once this dries on your skin, and it does very quickly, it will NOT budge. I should not have to rub my eye raw and red with a makeup remover to remove any excess. Because it also dries quickly and becomes that matte base, it does not allow for blendability of eyeshadow on top and as the day goes on, the base oxidizes, changing the color of my eyeshadow and often looks quiet cakey after a full day's wear. Will not be buying again or recommending to anyone.

I have oily eyelids and I have a hard time finding an eyeshadow primer that will keep my shadow from creasing. This aint it. It's everything you don't want in a primer...cakey, dries fast, hard to blend out. Even after touching it up, it will crease. I'll stick to my UD Primer Potion. That never has failed me.

I have been using this for at least 5 years. It makes eyeshadows stick, blend, and stay so nicely. Once the shadow is down, it stays put. It matches my skin tone perfectly, which is pretty neat. I get like 6 months of use out of one tube (i dont wear makeup everyday) AND I use the blend bunny pallets with all the funky colors and the colors POP nicely.

I don't normally write reviews but this stuff is AMAZING. I have hooded eyes and combo skin so my shadow creases pretty much immediately. I tried this primer and the first day I wore it all day then went to a high intensity workout that evening. When I came home I had sweated off all my makeup but my eyes still looked the same at they did when I applied 12 hours earlier. This works just as well if not better then the UD potion and is less than half price. Highly recommend.

THIS IS AMAZING. Inexpensive and does the job. The neutral color is great and it stays put all day!

The primer works great to get the colors to pop and be vibrant. It's easy to blend and doesn't feel weird on your skin, but it's hard to get out of the tube. The biggest problem is the eyeshadow creases after a few hours of wear for people with oily skin

i got this as it had similar ingredients to the too faced shadow insurance & it works just as well! no creasing on my hooded eyes after a day at work. it is a bit dry formula wise but it is matte. i don't like that i can't find the exp date, there's no '6 mo' indicator either. also not thrilled it's made in China...cruelty free in a country that legally requires animal testing isn't really cruelty free

The champagne one is better than the matte. But neither provides much to enhance the eyeshadow. Moves around more than the name brands I've tried. Returned the matte kept the champagne since it was in a gift.
