I remember going through the traumatic stage of puberty, like it was yesterday. (Even though it was 30+ yrs ago) I had it all going on & I was so embarrassed. The end result was a lot of stretch marks in all the usual places. Fast forward until I was 25, pregnant with my 1st child. I knew this was supposed to be a glorious time, one that I should glow, and be proud.. but, I was scared out of my mind, from the 1st day I found out because I knew I was about to get stretch marks all over the place puberty had missed.. my stomach! I was the opposite of excited. I was talking to my best friend about it, (probably crying) and at the time, she was working at Saks 5th Ave in Beverly Hills, at one of the beauty counters. She mentioned that she was always seeing celebrities in there that were pregnant, buying this Clarins Oil. I immediately rushed down there & purchased it. From that day forward, I put it on every day. Every morning when I woke up, every night before I went to bed.. and when it got closer to my due date, any time I felt an itch. I even brought it to the hospital & rubbed on my stomach after my daughter was born, all day long.. I continued until I lost all the baby weight (over 80 lbs!!). Guess what? NOT A SINGLE STRETCH MARK!!!! This oil is from the heavens! It kept my skin in a constant state of hydration & allowed the skin to stretch outward, then back down & not a single change! 2 years later, I was pregnant with my son. Not a worry in the world!!! I did all the glowing & reveled in the magic of pregnancy, because I knew Clarins would get me through! It did! Not a single change. AMAZING! Now, as my daughter is in college & my son is in high school, I'm dealing with another fluctuation that I can't control. I had back surgery to remove discs, but it went everywhere but right. So, after a year and a half of steroid shots into my spin (epidural), I have almost gained my pregnancy weight & being that I'm no longer a 25 yr old, with perfect skin, I'm counting on Clarins to get me through... So far, so good. But, I have a long road ahead of me. I tell everyone I know who is having a baby about this oil & not one time did it fail them. This is truly a miracle body oil. For reference, I went through 1 bottle every month, during both pregnancies. I recommend this oil to anyone facing body changes. It does take a little while to get used to the scent, but after you do, you will crave it! I remember every time the nurses or any visitors would enter my hospital room, they would stop & say how amazing it smelled! Sorry about the book, but I feel very strongly about this product & completely trust the Clarins Brand. I have 3 things over the years in my beauty regime that I will never be without, always recommend & always trust. This is one of the 3. The other 2 are different brands, so I won't list. Just know... I spend a ridiculous amount of time & money on products, researching, testing & reviewing. Copious amounts of hype, ladies at the Clarins counter, and a sister who did not have one stretch mark during pregnancy. I've been using this product as directed 1-2 times a day. I've never skipped one day. I'm currently on my second bottle. Today I hit exactly 7 months pregnant and yesterday morning I discovered two palm-sized patches of light pink stretch marks on either side of my belly button. As it turns out my sister just had a really tiny baby, just over 5 pounds. I have gained weight as expected as I am carrying a baby that is much larger than my sisters. I would rather have a bigger, healthy baby and stretch marks than a premature, or unhealthy baby. I think if you are going to have stretch marks, it's going to happen. One reviewer even said she put the body oil on AFTER MOISTURIZER.
