I purchased it to apply my IT brand of gel eyeliner. The synthetic bristles are moderately hard and felt somewhat rough on my eyelids. They are not as soft as the Bobbi Brown or Lancome brushes. Some of the bristles stick out away from the main head of bristles causing additional streaks of eyeliner. The tip is wide creating a medium to wide line with messy margins. I could clean up the line with a cotton tip applicator and eye primer, but it wasted too much of the liner. I purchased 2 brushes but I can already see that the tip of the second brush will create a line that is too wide.
