This is one of the greatest forms of eye makeup out there. I use it as a base for whatever eye shadow I'm using. If you buy a shade near your skin color, it won't distort the color of your eye shadow, but it will keep it from creasing or smearing for literally days, if need be. Whenever I sleep over at a friend's house and don't take my makeup off, my eye makeup still looks great the next morning. I bought this as a gift for my cousin and now she is addicted, too.
Obviously by looking at the many comments below, you need to return Uplighting Touchbase to your selection stock! I am lost without it!!! I cannot believe you have discontinued this product. Every time I go to a store to purchase the ladies tell me they cannot keep it in stock. If it is that big of a seller, why would you discontinue it?? Terrible marketing in my opinion! And obviously others also. I have been a loyal Clinique customer for 30 years, this is happening more and more every time I go in, you guys changing colors on me. Im almost ready to quit using your product!!! That would be sad!!

clumps very easily and quickly. I have sweaty eyelids, so didn't work for me.

I have used Touch Base for years and always get complements on my eyemake up and how it holds up at the end of the day. Unfortunately, I still miss Uplighting and recently was advised to use Lots O Latte in the chubby stick as a replacement. And now the chubby sticks for eye have been also discontinued. Very sad that my favorite products keep getting discontinued.

I find the touch base to be very dry and not at all easy to apply. I also think it is very pricey

It can be used as is for eye shadow, I didnt put 5 starts because you do have to use more per application if you want to cover your eye. Also I am no expert but I dont think it blends well. I like the formula.

Like Lancôme better.

I haven't purchased this product in years. Decades even. I was looking for a replacement for Too Faced's Shadow Insurance since I no longer purchase that since they changed the packaging. This isn't the same product of years past. Canvas Light color used to be a matte base. Now it's some shimmery concoction. It's unfortunate.

I have tried every cream eye shadow I can find both in stores and online. Nothing compares color wise and ease of application like Uplighting did. canvas is too light and no replacement for Uplighting. Please bring it back so I can return to Clinique cream eye shadow.
If you have sweaty eyelids look else where. It builds up in the creases.

I was hesitant to buy at first, but this product is a game changer. This is my 2nd purchase, because I use it daily. It really keeps eyeshadow in place all day, whether a powder or stick type version.Very pleased, I will always buy this.

This product is very helpful for lasting throughout the day. It helps keeps your eyeliner in place and your eyeshadow to last into the evening (no matter how oily or watery the eye area can get). "The canvas" color works perfect with skin tone and using a cream/tan eyeshadow color. No need to worry about eyeliner smudging or wearing off.

I was really disappointed with this product. When I attempt to apply it, the paste won't leave my fingers. I have tried smoothing it on and patting it on but it still is a cakey-mess. I end up with shiny paste in lumps all over my eyelid. I won't buy again

After reading all the rave reviews on this eye primer and it rarely in stock in the stores…I was finally able to pick up one and give it a fair try. I am a senior with very few lines or creases on my eyelids. The product was not easy to get out of the compact and did not go on smoothly on the eyelid. I apply a clinque powder eyeshadow over it and and shadow didn't last long at all.

It still creases and doesn't hold eyeshadow well.

Seems like it should be more creamy, but very dry and takes a lot of effort to apply adequately. Provides a bit of shimmer which is nice if you're looking to brighten. Container broke after a few uses (top snapped off so its hard to cover now).

I've purchased this 3 or 4 times and while I like the product, it dries out very quickly causing you to pull and tug on you eyelid to spread it.

I tried to use it as a an eye color since they look fairly pigmented but no, base only.

I also like the touchbases to in clinique, and again you can use alot of different colors.

I can't believe it took me this long to realize I needed this product. I always felt that this was just something else to spend money on but wasn't necessary. Was I wrong!! This is a much needed product and it works! I would highly recommend!

Uplighting was my favorite shade. I used it every day, both alone, and under other eye shadow. The current shades are much too light for my skin tone. In addition, uplighting was the only shade that didn't dry out...stayed creamy until the last bit was gone.

This eyeshadow goes on really creamy. I love being able to smooth it over my eyelids with just a finger, no fuss. This isn't the product to go for if you want strong color. It's definitely a base, but that's what I was hoping for. I want to buy additional colors now.

I decided to try this product because I was looking for something that would cover some redness and brighten the eye. I was really surprised that this worked so well. I tried canvas and would recommend it and buy it again.

I have used this product for years.

Love this product. Have used it as an eyeshadow base for years. Goes on easily and stays put. Adds a nice slight shimmer through my eyeshadow!

Agree with many people here - I've used touch base for YEARS - works great for eye shadow base with no creasing. However, canvas colors don't work well under my favorite twilight mauve duo - colors are drab. Uplighting was perfect - please bring it back!
