I have been using it for a little over a week. I already have thick hair, but I did not pay attention when the bottle said it was for fine hair, because in my experience, conditioners always say they'll thicken hair and don't have much of an effect. Well, I'll believe Paul Mitchell from now on. My hair is much thicker now. But unfortunately, as others have mentioned, it's unbearably greasy and it feels gross to run my fingers through my hair now. I read a review that says the residue protects the hair from heat, but I flat ironed my hair today and the greasy-ness honestly made the process very unpleasant. My lip is curled up as I write it, remembering how gross my hair felt. I felt like I was doing something very wrong by heating up that residue and pressing it deeper into my hair. Perhaps I should rinse more thoroughly or use it only a few times a week, but I have used conditioner daily my entire life and I have never had this problem before. I think conditioner should be simple. I don't think I should make a bunch of behavioral changes to make a product work. It smells great, and I do intend to try Paul Mitchell again, because I think the company has integrity and I've heard great things from my hair stylist friends. The shampoo is great but the conditioner leaves a waxy feel on my hair and on my hands. It is the only conditioner that I have ever used that I must wash my hands with soap and water after using to take away the residue.
