I am a competitive swimmer with red hair. I am in the pool 6 days a week plus in the summer I love going to the pool and having fun. But the chlorine always made my hair get a green-like tint to it!!! It would be like Christmas in June. I tried all the shampoos that are 'designed for swimmers' but they didn't do anything. I tried this and it worked like a miracle. My hair is back to the original shade of red it was and there is no tint! The only con is that it does dry your hair out but as long as you follow up with a good conditioner your hair will be fine.
I have thick long hair and this shampoo stayed in my hair for a week after! Each time I wet my hair to get ready to wash it would sud back up! Bubbles and suds everywhere! I would use sparingly and not very often. I literally couldn't figure out why my hair was so dry and tangled and this was the reason! I switched back to Joico K-Pac Shampoo and it went away. Also I had intense itching at the nape of my neck.

I bought this shampoo after I started a water aerobics class in a salt water pool and my hairdresser said my hair was feeling dry and damaged. I use it after classand my hair hair has been soft and manageable. Love it!

I need a chelating shampoo to get rid of the high iron, magnesium and calcium deposits from our hard water that combined with the salts from the water treatment, make my fragile, super-wavy hair look like straw. One weekly wash with Shampoo 3 does the trick. It strips the minerals without damage and lets my deep conditioner work its magic. I thought about getting Malibu C, but why change from what has worked for ages? Understand, it is not the same as Shampoo 2, which clarifies oily hair, so don't use that one if you only want to chelate the hard water minerals out. Use #3. It's excellent and super reasonably priced.

This clarifying shampoo is fantastic at removing chlorine from hair. My kids are avid swimmers in the summer months and this product is one of the best for this. My daughters hair is blond and this helps take the "green" look away that being in the pool most days.

Needed a good clarifying shampoo to rid my hair of medications before getting my hair recolored. Shampoo had pleasing not overpowering fragrance; left my hair soft. Did use my regular conditioner after rinsing out shampoo because my hair is naturally curly and tends to tangle.

A few years ago I purchased a Paul Mitchell Clarifying shampoo at Ulta and loved it. It was a huge bottle, decent price, and seemed to last a really long time. They did not have it when I needed a replacement so I tried another brand and found it to be mediocre and over fragranced. I was excited to see a Paul Mitchell Clarifying shampoo on the shelf again. My daughter and I have both tried it and did not care for it. The consistency is much thinner than expected, it seemed to take about twice as much of it as any every day or clarifying shampoos I've used. My daughters has extremely long, thick hair and uses little product. After washing with this 2 days in a row her hair still had build up on it as did her scalp. She used her regular shampoo yesterday and it did better cleansing her hair and scalp than this did. For the size of the bottle and underwhelming results I found the price to be way too high. I cannot speak for how well it removes chlorine from hair as that is not a circumstance we have.

Got this for the chlorine for summertime. My hair still had a green tint and it absolutely ruined the texture and life of my hair. It made it so brittle and dry it felt like straw. Also made my hair fall out. I've never ever had this happen with any other shampoo in my entire life. Nothing I put in it would even bring slight moisture back into my hair. Ended up getting 5 inches cut off just to get the brittle bottom length off. Never ever ever use this shampoo or conditioner.

I bought this shampoo with the one and only hope of getting chlorine out from my hair. I have been swimming far more than usual due to being pregnant. It had caused this build up of stickiness in my hair. It felt so gross. This shampoo lathered up nicely and helped my hair go back to normal. It's not completely fixed, but it is miles better after just a few times of use.

I brought this on a trip to Phoenix, AZ to use after swimming to remove chlorine. I have bleached hair (Asian dark brunette to blonde/grey) and did not want to risk my bleached hair turning green. This product worked fantastically and was not overly drying. I did use a conditioner after shampooing though. The only thing to mention is that the travel sized bottle is marked as 3.4 oz and not 3 oz as TSA requires. No one in TSA seemed to notice this slight amount discrepancy though

The green didn't come out of my hair after several shamppos with this product. I ended up making a paste of baking soda and water and then washing with my Paul Mitchell purple shampoo and it came out. I must have washed my hair at least six times with the chlorine remover before trying the soda.

This took the green out of my daughter's hair after a few washes. Faded with the first and back normal after 3-4 washes. Phew!

I love Shampoo Three and I've been using it since high school of and on, and then as a part of my regular routine for about five years. I really helps keep my hair from having build up from chlorine in the summer and from hair products in the winter. I use it probably 1-2 time a week in the summer and 3 times a month in the winter to keep my hair from feeling heavy with build up. I normally have to rotate what brands I use as shampoo and conditioner to keep my hair feeling clean and not greasy, but this allowed me to use my last brand for twice as long before I needed to switch again.
Please keep in mind that this is a clarifying shampoo not a daily one. It will dry out your hair if you use it every day.

I love this product. I used to swim as a kid and had my favorite shampoo then, it is no longer sold. I am now hooked on this shampoo! It smells great and gets the job done!
