I was hooked after the first use. My hair, which is extremely fine and straight, has never had so much body and bounce. I went through four bottles of this mousse and absolutely loved it. It protected my hair against humidity and never left a greasy build up, even after using it every day. About two weeks ago, I bought a new bottle and noticed a drastic change after applying the mousse for two or three days. My hair felt very heavy and limp. It was almost as if I had not applied any product at all. I tried using less product, then more product, but I had the same results. I also started to get breakouts all along my hairline where I had applied the mousse. My shampoo and conditioner have remained the same and once I switched to a different mousse, the breakouts cleared up and my hair is no longer greasy and heavy. I don't blow-dry my hair as recommended, but my hair still has volume throughout the day. After applying the mousse I just brush through my hair and let it dry. My hair feels soft all day and doesn't feel weighed down or stiff. I thought since it is mousse it would leave my hair crunchy like most mousses do but I was wrong I applied after washing and then styled as normal and it was soft to the touch and it held up great for a couple of days. I typically don't use mousse but have been using it for some time now and it has become a part of my hair care regimen. I would say it provides medium hold and helps fight humidity. The scent is fresh and smells good, just right and not too overpowering. The only thing that I could say that I didn't love about this is that it did extend my blow drying almost time almost to double the time, however I do have a super fast dying blow drier so the actually dry time wasn't that long and I'm told that I may not have applied it correctly so I wouldn't take my word for it. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about hair products and honestly mousse products do not usually work that well for me. However, as soon as I put it in my hair, I could feel the difference. My hair was damp and I rubbed a handful into my hair and it seemed like my hair follicles thickened immediately (if that is a thing). I continued to blow dry it and I had nice non-frizzy, volumized hair. I then went to bed to see what it would look like in the morning and it was the same. The volumizing component in the mousse did not flatten during the night. I was able to wake up and my hair looked pretty much the same as it did when I went to bed. That was awesome! Saved me some time in the morning. My hair felt soft and it smelled good. I like this product! The next day (without washing it), I put hot rollers in to give it some curl, however the curl did not stay. At this point, I think it is because the mousse is not meant to work with hot rollers, but I have not decided for sure. The product claims the mousse will leave my hair conditioned and volumized hair from root to tip for increased lift and body. It is formulated with castor oil to not only give volume but to add softness. Some of the other claims are: heat protection up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit, protect hair from humidity, and moisturize. It is fragranced with notes of citrus, floral rose, and musk, per their claim. The instructions state to apply mousse on towel-dried hair. Blow-dry for maximum volume. Use on all hair types that crave fullness with a clean, touchable feel. I followed the instructions as I should and found that while this did give me lots of volume it made my hair feel like straw and it smelled terrible. I feel like the volume lasted for most of the day. I will not be using this product again as it left my hair feeling terrible and it did not smell good at all.Provides lasting volume5Jess L from NJI really liked this mousse, it provided a lot of volume at the root without making my hair look greasy or weighed down by the end of the day which can sometimes happen. My hair is fine and can look limp without any sort of volumizer and this definitely got the job done. The can is very tall which can be a little cumbersome for storage but it seems like it will last forever. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
