I have to say, I am blown away by the results after just one use! My hair is very dry and fine and always tangles especially at the ends. I've tried a ton of deep conditioners and not one has ever allowed me to run my fingers through my hair. Until now! My hair stayed soft, frizz-free and detangled for the full 2 days until I had to wash it again after a workout. Even without brushing the following day, I could still run my fingers through my hair. AMAZING!! Highly recommend to anyone with dry, damaged hair.Most Helpful Critical ReviewFormula Changed for the WorseAs they saying goes, "If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it." It's an absolute shame the formula for JBCO leave-in was changed to accomate others. The name is no longer "Strengthen, Grow & Restore," keratin is no longer an ingredient, and it no longer claims to "Nourish, Repair & Grow." My current jar containing the old formula was running low; so on my last trip to the beauty store I decide to reup. Unfortunately for me, I uknowingly bought a jar containing the new formula. I got home, compared the two and was disappointed. I was going to give the new batch a try, until I opened it and it smelled like hair grease and unnatural fragrance. This product was perfect for my 4C hair and you had to go and ruin it. This was the second kind of leave-in conditioner that I used as I made my way through my hair journey. My hair changed from straight and thin to wavy/curly and coarse/dry when I was a teenager and really struggled to figure out a good routine. I found this product and it changed the game for me big time. I used it every time I'd get out of the shower and it made my hair so much more manageable. Not only that, I noticed an improvement with the frizz and dryness. It was light a light weight cream so it was just the right texture for me. Because of this improvement, my hair quality improved as well and I noticed how much easier it was for other products to penetrate my hair and do it's intended purpose such as a deep conditioner. The only reason I switched from this product to the one I use now is because I couldn't find this in several stores during the pandemic and had to find something else. They were popping like POPPIN LIKE CRAZY SIS! They had bounce and my hair did NOT frizz in this southern humidity when it rains! Leaves my hair soft and moisturized. I style on wet hair like super wet hair and define with a denman brush or the tangle teezer brush for curly hair and my hair is set. It's a product I can count on. Then one day, after using my last backup, I another Jar, and used it. My 4c hair dried out like crazy. I was confused bc this was the only conditioner I used. Then I grabbed my old jar and compared it to the new one. And realized the new formula had ACV in it. Idk any 4c hair person who uses Anything with ACV as a leave in. FF years later, decided to give it another try and it's still drying. All I can say is, why? I guess to cater to NoN, Afrocentric hair types. Might work for others though so keep that into consideration!
