My hair is curly/frizzy in the summer and indecisive waves in the winter that go frizzy and flat so I always end up straightening it in the colder months. This gave my curl definition and made my hair look healthy and fun! I did use a little gel for better hold. If you are on the fence, go buy it and try it a couple of times with the right amount for your hair. I do imagine that it could weigh thin hair down a bit, but if you have frizzy thicker hair or waves or curly hair then you will love it! I wash my hair every other day which works for me but starting this one of this brand makes my oily pretty quickly compared to the other brands I've used.amazing!5peyton from pennsylvaniai shaved my head recently due to extensive damage from dyeing my hair over the years. i also realized before shaving my head that i had a curl pattern i wanted to grow back and develop. this shampoo can be amazing if you take the proper steps to get there. i would recommend going with a clarifying shampoo before using this one. a clarifying shampoo will remove the buildup from product and natural oils that form over time. also make sure to really emulsify the shampoo between your hands to suds it up. this will ensure product is warmed up and ready for your hair. it will also give an even distribution of product. after the clarifying shampoo, then use the shea moisture one. this one is super moisturizing and will really do wonders if you do the step before. my scalp feels absolutely wonderful and hydrated, and along with the usage of the conditioner, i can see my hair starting to develop its curl pattern better. an extra step you can take is using a protective oil before you begin the shampoo process. i have been using a rosemary-based oil and all of this has done wonders for my scalp and hair health. my hair is growing back so beautifully!!Amazing5Rita from CanadaMy daughter has curly hair and have tried a lot of products.
