The multidimensional pearls that reflect the light at every turn do give it a lilac/blue shift that is beautiful. It is buildable, with a second layer giving more opaque pigment, but if not done at the right stage of drying it can just smear the first layer away with the second like how dry-erase markers will erase itself. It cleans off without too much work as well. The applicator brush is not really useful if you were to do your own liner with it, but definitely works for all-over eyelid coverage.Most Helpful Critical ReviewMisleading Product NameI was excited to have eyeshadows in cool-toned colors (got "baby bunny" "spirit guide, and "fairies are real") and the shimmer finish was what I looked forward to. Unfortunately, Doni apparently doesn't know the difference between "shimmer" and "glitter" because this is full on GLITTER. So why call it "shimmer"? The name's incredibly misleading and whoever was the reviewer who called these "subtle" and "shimmer" is blind. It comes out a bit thick/goopy so I think of it more as watery cream than liquid. The wand applicator was a bit hard to remove from the bottle at first, and I even wondered if I damaged the applicator cause it was bent. Either the wand is too long for the bottle or the bent is intentional. The applicator itself is good enough for general coverage, but not for precision. Color/shimmer lasted during the time I wore it. As I predicted, it wasn't smudge/transfer proof (but I did not use primer or setting spray). The packaging is slim, chic and I love that I can see the shade color. The shimmer color looked vibrant, but when applying, it really wouldn't apply vibrant. I would try to build it up but the color stayed on my finger instead! It looked better on my finger than on my eyelid. This may have worked better with a good eyelid primer, but I didn't have one on hand.
