I took a photo where I swatched a fully concentrated line of the highlighter and then blended out a sheer swatch next to it. As you can see, it's possible to use this highlighter in several ways with a range between fully opaque metallic and soft non-glittery sparkle. I have very fair skin so this champagne pink shade looks best on me when I wear sheer layer just under where I would usually wear highlighter - almost as a blush topper. I do notice a bit of blurring or something similar happening. It definitely doesn't show texture... unless you leave it unblended in a thick layer! The product comes out of the squeeze tube via a round puff ball, which has to be turned into the "on" position before product will come out. After every application, I have started the habit of locking it immediately by turning it to "off" so I won't forget later and end up with a mess of wasted product! For anyone who travels, the component is well thought out with its on/off switch and tightly-fitting cap that snaps on. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a highlighter that doesn't have visible glitter, that doesn't emphasize texture, and that can be layered to wear as a sheer colored highlighter &/or a more opaque blush topper (by applying two thin layers.) I love this liquid highlighter and am glad to have it in my collection. If there was one criticism I could give, it would be that the base color is too dark for fair skin tones to use in the traditional highlight areas on the face. If there was another shade added, maybe a light champagne, with a much lighter base color - that'd be perfection!! (Disclaimer: I received this product for free in exchange for my *honest* review. Compared to the pallet highlight that you use with a brush this is not better. It requires too much rubbing in versing a one swipe with a brush and I am done. I think the benefit of owning this product is it is great for travel size without having to carry a full pallet. It didn't look bad on my skin, but I do not think this is best for dark skin tones.
