Most look orange, smell bad, dry out my skin, last only a day, and leave stains on my sheets. I took a chance on this one needing something for a vacation. It only had a few reviews and was more expensive, so it was a gamble. Out of all the ones I've tried this is by far my favorite. When I first applied it, it felt sticky and gross but noticed it didn't stain my clothes. I rinsed with water per instructions after about 6-8 hours and that's when I noticed the color looked really, really good. Actually looked natural. After rinsing it didn't feel sticky. I would recommend using it the day before an event. I did notice the typical self tan odor but nothing worse than the other brands. The tan lasted around six days which is longer than others have lasted, through lots of hot baths and showers. The positives to this are the perfect color and how long lasting it is. I applied the self tanner after showering and exfoliating to prepare, because I have used a self tanners for several years and know the process that is needed to prepare to apply them for the best result. I applied this self tanner with their mitt as well as their brush that I purchased at the same time that I purchase this product, I waited for four hours before getting back into the shower, which was a time that was recommended if you wanted a light to medium tan. As soon as I got in the shower and the water hit my skin, the whole bottom of my shower was brown. it immediately washed off of my skin, I have absolutely no remnants of having the self tanner on my skin at all. The texture is so interesting it's almost like a foam to lotion when it goes on. I did like the smell and how fast it dried (it was comfortable to sleep in), but I didn't like how drying it was and the color has not lasted well over the 5 days I've had it on. It's more on the golden side (green undertone) so keep that in mind. I prefer a more red tone like LT. My skin looks extremely dry and I live in a very hot and humid climate (TX). I was previously using Loving tan which only gave me about 3-4 good days. This tanner has given me seven full days with great color after a very humid weekend spent in southern florida. I touched up my legs after shaving with the drops (which i also love!) and the tan on my legs lasted longer than it normally would. I would suggest having some self tan experience before using this product. It drys fairly quick so you should know what you are doing. I left it it on for 4.5 hrs and achieved a dark tan with a super natural color. It does dry completely (tranfer free and not sticky) so you could absolutely sleep in the tan if you needed to. I love that this smells good and moisturizes. The color is amazing however it has pink undertones so I do prefer the ST green tone more. It also doesn't go on as dark as ST but it definitely lasts longer snd doesnt transfer as much. Did not fade patchy applies very easily, and not streaky. I got so many compliments people didn't even believe I was wearing a fake tan.
